  1. Not only is it controllable, it's transferable, so you don't have the break the superposition (and thus the entanglement) by observing it, you can just pass on the entanglement state to an other particle and then read that particles information.
  2. Wait wait wait wait wait. What do you mean they're not sure if small sellers will comply? It's a law isn't it? Can you just opt-out of paying tax in Australia?
  3. £7.65 for Adults, £6.55 for Students and Old People Can't remember the price for children
  4. As long as we do not observe the original particle then they are still communicating at faster than light speed.. This is where parallel data transfer will come into, as the only latency in the system is the transferal of entanglement. The more we can separate the transmission between particles and the more we can read at the same time the faster the data. The actual transferal across space/time would still be instantaneous between the entangled pairs.
  5. The thing is that data isn't being exchanged. That's not what this experiment was about. In a proper quantum connection, you are not exchanging data. You are changing the state of one particle. This changes the state of it's entangled partner. Instantly. With no data transferred and no energy required to transmit the data. It's pretty similar to how if you change the energy level of 1 electron, as no two electrons can have the same energy state according to quantum physics, all electrons in the universe must change their energy levels instantaneously to allow the new energy levels to exist.
  6. Gives you greater control and also tells you if something is wrong with your shifting. I would never want a power clutch that could for example force a engine going at 10,000 RPM to meet a clutch going at 100. I would want to feel that I was being an idiot there.
  7. Essentially, this means that if you wobbled one particle in London, it's quantum entangled pair in New York would wobble exactly the opposite way, at exactly the same moment in time with no lag. Faster Than Light communication. Entangling particles was never the problem, it was transmitting the data in a readable form. This is proof of concept that it's possible. It also proves that one set of entangled particles can cause other particles to become entangled.
  8. Like, favourite and subscribe. We can also support the show by buying some shirts, visiting their sponsors, or changing our amazon bookmarks to Linus's affiliate code so he can get a kickback every time we make a purchase
  9. It's super nice that the Nexus is being recognised by a games developer, and even hosting the official service. Come on Bethesda, drop the Workshop.
  10. Nice, I've got Tiagra on my Specialized Secteur 2014, absolutely love how smooth it feels on the road.
  11. I mean enforcing it would be impossible, but there needs to be some kind of independent body that forces standard for advertisements. No auto-playing adds with sound, can only take up X% of the screen, no adds that say 'Download' on them on a download page, etc. Then, I can feel safe leaving adverts on, and can report sites that breach it. Just like advertisements on TV or on billboards in real life.
  12. The day that I can visit a download page and not be bombarded with 100,000 adverts that all say download on them is the day I will uninstall adblock. As long as adverts carry a risk of malware, you can bet it stays on (not for LTT and other trusted sites, of course)
  13. For a bit more context, the reason that they were supposedly banned (if you ignore the conspiracy against modders aspect) is because Rockstar ban anything that interferes with the Online aspect of GTA V. The FiveM mod had a single hook into the Social Club service. The only purpose of that hook was the check if the person had a legit copy of GTA V. The modders were banned because they were trying to stop people pirating the game with their mod. Without the check, people could in theory play the GTA FiveM mod without a legit copy of GTA V. If this isn't some conspiracy against modders and Rockstar get a chance to review this banning, I suspect they may overturn it.
  14. Prepare for motherboard makers to silently revise their Mobos from Gen 2 to Gen 1 while keeping the advertising the same.
  15. In reality, this is completely unenforceable. A fight against Apple would take 10 years to get through the courts. I'd love to see the legal paper work of suing 60 million people. Also, does this mean Spotify Premiums download feature will also be made illegal now?
  16. I'm in need of free technical stock but everywhere I look is pretty bad. In this specific instance, I need a royalty free image of the Cryptolocker screen it displays when your system has been hacked. I've asked my boss if I could install Cryptolocker to get the screenshot but surprisingly he said no.
  17. No where near a proper Quantum Computer yet. It's like comparing Colossus to a modern day high-end desktop.
  18. That was only part of the reason it was stopped. The main part was because people lost faith after the crash. I forget who said it, but Concord is one of the only times in modern human history where when something went wrong, instead of going "alright, what's the next step, how do we make this better" humanity just stopped progressing.
