Kyle is full of it.  He doesn't like the fact that he got screwed while others didn't go out of their way and make things up to support him.

Oh yeah? So, if it is your Lamborghini, how come you can't drive it at 300 km/h in a downtown avenue?
If my landlord owns this house, how come he can't come sleep here any time he wants?

Why I said let that shit go LOL!!!

Walk into Best Buy, or Game Stop. Everything from the zoning to encaps is a relationship with venders and other companies. Sony spend millions and millions on those relationships so the PS4 is pushed to the front. Don't see a topic on that, right?

Because you don't see it. People see the GPP, so they react. Even though it's nothing out of the ordinary. YAY capitolism LOL

Theres nothing illegal about what they are doing. Basically they are saying adhere to the rules we set or you don't do business with us.

no one is forcing companies to do anything. Nvidia has the best graphics cards on the market. This it allows them to have a choice on how and who they do business with.

if AMD had a competitive product this wouldn't be happening.

Any component so if its a fault of the GPU is it ASUS's responsibility to spend the money to get another GPU, or is it nV's?  This is why the license also stipulates warranty amounts too.  Why do you think EVGA dropped their life time warranties?  They didn't want to drop it, it was because nV didn't want to uphold that anymore.  It was costing nV too much with Fermi.  Fermi had a higher GPU failure rate that previous cards.

I think the problem is people start applying conditions like who built the products value and market share as arguments for why they believe the AIB or Nv should be held accountable/subjected,   Instead of sticking directly with the conditions of  law (as we understand them).  Once people move beyond the legal realm and into their own ideals about what is legal/ethical then we have many different arguments that cannot be resolved due the arbitrary nature of their motivation.

Even if there was a patent, trademark or some form of copyright on potato chips/flavoring, usually the company that makes them also make the other brands so they already would own the rights to manufacture and sell said product.  This is how the supermarket brand/generic brand products come to be without any court cases.  The supermarket asks for tenders to manufacture a product for them.  If Nestle win the bid to make homebrand chocolate milk drink, it could be identical to Milo or it could be bottom of the barrel or it could even be the seconds from the batch, but it still comes without any branding or IP issues because it is made by nestle (they aren't going to sue themselves).

When it comes to pharmaceuticals there is also the whole other side of legality and efficacy trials.  Every approved drug has a very specific chemical composition, as soon as one constituent changes it no longer has approval.  This puts the whole concept of branding in a different category to regular products.

According to PCWorld, the Samsung 970 pro 1TB will cost 500$ instead of 630$, thats a 130$ price reduction. The 512GB version will cost 250$ instead of 330$.

Quote with regards to the price reduction for 970 pro:

The 970 EVO reductions are as follows:

So it is a marginal reduction, but still worth noting.

I was personally planing on purchasing the 1TB 960 evo for 450$, but now that the pro version 970 costs 130 less, I think will be reconsidering it.

Razor01 reacted to killcomic in Rumor : Intel to show discrete GPU at CES 2019
It's no secret that Intel has been wanting a slice of the GPU market pie, specially after hiring Mr. Raja Koduri.
According to Neowin, rumours have emerged that Intel might unveil a new discrete GPU as early as 2019.

You should take this rumour with a metric ton of salt, of course, but the prospect of a third player in the DGPU  market is very exciting indeed.

Before you get too excited though, Neowin does put things into perpective.

Let’s just hope the rumour is correct and it's not just another integrated GPU.

I agree, I just wanted to point out he has a habit of doing things like that lol.

Add he did make presumptions on the GPP too, his "opinions".  I had no issue with his GPP articles, outside of the "law suits pending" and the likes of this program akin to what Intel did.  The second article about the OEM's and why they were against signing for it, that was utterly fabricated too, again his "opinion" is now trying to support his first article, instead of taking a step back and focusing on what was the real cause for the OEM's.  I saw serious faults in that, it wasn't anything to do with what he definitively uncovered, it was what he thought they were equal to and what the outcome could be.

Well same can be said about Qualcomm, MS, AMD, Intel, and many other companies.

This is not a singular thing. we have seen it in many other companies and a select few writers.

Click bait is the same as yellow journalism which is pretty much a taboo in journalistic circles.

Either you are a journalist and have the ethics to stand by what you find or you use what you find in such a way to be a click bait whore.

The content that makes a click bait whore is the same as the content that makes a proper article, just the way its worded to arise emotions.

Did you see what I did there, that is bringing emotions into what I wrote,  I didn't need to do that to get the point across.  And it was just one word placed in two spots.
