  1. Will do some more investigating later today. Will update when available.
  2. Hello, so I woke up this morning to my pc being off. Tried to turn it back on and nothing. All I got was a little flicker to the fan lights and that was it. I asked for help from a friend and he said try re seating my ram so I did so. For some reason I decided to take my GPU out as well. After I re seated all of my ram I tried to turn my pc on and it worked. Turn my pc off and plug my GPU back in and it doesn't turn on again. In order to get my pc to be able turn on again I tried re seating one stick at a time then trying to turn it back on. The second stick let me turn it on again, but only without my GPU plugged in. I have tried the GPU on another pc and the pc didn't start and I used another GPU on my pc and it started up. This is my 4th GPU for my pc what could be making my gpu's go bad? Specs: Asus Rampage IV Black Edition (Don't know the exact BIOS version but I know it is the latest one.) Not sure what CPU I have. I think it's a i7 4770k 16gb DDR3 2666mhz ram in slots 1 3 5 7 Cooler Master V850 PSU Corsair H100i. Geforce gtx 1070 atx 3.0 SC If you need anything else let me know. Not very savvy with this yet.
  3. Thx! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help and your effort. so a simple yet grateful "thank you" will have to suffice.
  4. Is there a big enough difference in performance between the 1080 and 1080ti to warrant the price difference? Side note I do play other games like Planetside 2 and battlefield and will be getting FFXV when it comes out for pc. so if there is not that much of a difference then ill just go with what you suggested.
  5. soooo id rather not take the chance of screwing my crap up even more than it already is 0_0. that being said I was able to set up my other pc and got done downloading world of warships and it did the same thing. but that pc isn't quite up to the specs of the one I am currently on. not a bad pc but not very good either. I finally got EVGA to send my problem to one of their managers to see if anything else can be done. If nothing else I might just have to buy a new GPU. (speaking of which, what would you recommend?)
  6. I tried the cables but I have not tried the other PCIe slot. only reason i didn't do that is because I put a 970 in the same spot and it worked perfectly fine.
  7. I do have another pc but i need to do a lot to get it up an running so..... annnnd no. i don't have any friends soooo that's a no go
  8. Just got done with that and I loaded up World of Warships and i didn't even get fully loaded into the game before the problem happened.
  9. ok i have it shut off. What do I do now?
  10. how do i Do most of the stuff that you just suggested. "f you need something let me know EXACTLY how to get it because I am very close to knowing nothing about pcs."
  11. So I have had Precision x and CPUz running and I was able to play a few games without a problem, nothing was at an abnormal range to warrant concern. That being said those same games I was playing (mentioned in OP) kept crashing within a few minutes of playing them. Sometimes I don't even have to do anything, I can just load World of Warships and sit in port and bam no impute or signal. I have just updated my drivers 2 or 3 days ago but this has been happening for a fair while now so I have no idea what driver version it would be that it didn't happen on. I didn't mention this in the OP but I was able to put a 970 in the same spot with the same connections and same settings and didn't have one problem while my RMA was being taken care of.
  12. Soo I am having a problem with my EVGA Geforce GTX 980 FTW in the form of, I can be playing a game and it works fine, then all the suddenly both of my monitors go black say there is no signal impute, both monitors then go to sleep. I still have my Youtube videos playing and my game running in the background but nothing on my monitors. I have to force my pc to restart to fix the problem. The games that I am playing and this happens on a regular basis are (Word of Warships, Just Cause 3, Armored Warfare, League of legends and Dark Souls 3). However I can run benchmark programs on max setting and not have a problem. I can even run The Division on max settings and not have a problem. (98% of the time.) This being said, this is my 4th card that I have gotten from EVGA. The first 2 had a problem with the fans not working and the GPU shorted out, in that order. The third one that I had was having this exact same problem and I, at first, thought it was a bug or something with an update and that they were trying to fix it and that some bugs could be hard to fix so I gave it some time. To my dismay this was not the case and many people are having problems with this card as it stands now. If ANYONE has any suggestions please let me know. I have tried a lot of things already such as, uninstalling my drivers and reinstalling them (multiple times) making sure my pc was not set to go to sleep and that my Pause Break button on my keyboard was not stuck or malfunctioning for some reason. I have checked all of my protected system files for bad files using System File Checker. I have looked at the Report Viewer and tbh I have no idea what I am looking at. if you need something let me know EXACTLY how to get it because I am very close to knowing nothing about pcs. The being said when I looked in there I saw this. (spoiler) Oh forgot to say what specs I have.
