Hello everyone!
My question is: Should I get a 1440p 144hz or a 4k 60hz monitor?
At the moment I have 2x standard 1080p monitors.
I can't decide! I think 4k would be more future-proof, because nearly every TV related stuff is 4k (Bluray, Gaming consoles, ...)
I have heard that 144hz is really good, but I can't test it, because non of my friends has a 144hz screen (...and non of the local hardware stores have one to test!)
My GPU will not be a problem. As soon as the GTX 1100/2000 series comes out I will upgrade to that!
I also want an IPS monitor, because that one I could try inside a hardware store and it looks absolutely beautiful!
G-sync would be nice, but not a must!
My steam library on the other hand looks more like 4k,
I do play games like CS:GO, GTA V, Rainbow Six Siege,..., but I mostly play more casual games, racing games and simulations...
I 90% of the time game on my computer. The other 10% is internet browsing and word...
...And a huge problem also is my tight budget for the monitor (only 500€)!
Could you please share your experience to help me decide and give me your opinion which one will suit me better!
