  1. Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone! I'll have to weigh the pros and cons and make a decision
  2. I really like this idea! Would be great for the smaller cables and adapters and would be useful for when make the occasional house call for tech-support. A little bit challenging for bigger stuff though, like video cables and AC cords, or stuff that can't be wound tight like coax. I have this one T H I C C DVI Dual-Link cable that def wouldn't fit. Maybe I could split up my collection? I'd rather not but my mind is open.
  3. That's where the clothes live! You don't want homeless pants, do you? Already have. Still have loads. I've got at least one of every cable i'll ever need and i usually keep old chargers around because occasionally I'll need to Frankenstein some stuff together when I'm in a pinch
  4. I suppose a should clarify, lol. The plastic tubs are not space efficient. I think the main thing is that she doesn't want to have to see them, but I would still like to be able to get at them easily.
  5. Hi everyone Much like a lot of you, I have a lot of cables. Video cables, network cables, SATA cables, USB C cables, Micro USB cables, Mini USB cables, Audio cables, Audio adapters, video adapters, it goes on and on (and on and on!) Thing is, I don't have a good way to store and organize these cables that doesn't look awful or isn't a pain in the butt. Does anyone have any good tips on how to keep things organized? Currently I have them organized into small tubs from the dollar store that are labeled according to categories ( i.e. Wall warts, power cables, type c cables and adapters, etc.) but unfortunately my SO doesn't like the look of them and they take up space, which is unfortunately at a premium since I rent in Vancouver :P Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated!
  6. The DisplayPort issue is something I didn't consider, I did find this https://www.amazon.ca/Dual-USB-C-Express-Alternate-Mode-UPD2018/dp/B01MY4WRBU But unfortunately it's not available for me So I guess I have to worry about DisplayPort Support Sufficient Power for all of my devices Latency
  7. That's a bummer. Just upgraded to 1660 Super in march when the whole quarantine thing started so i don't really want to upgrade again
  8. Hello, not sure if i'm in the right spot for this (Made an account years ago, first time on LTT Forum in WHILE) So occasionaly I like to play games from my desktop on the TV in my livingroom so my gf can watch me play, the problem that I have to unplug all of my peripherals, ethernet, and my monitor, lug it into the livingroom, and plug in all of my stuff in there. What I would like to do, is have a Type-C hub in each location and just plug all of my peripherals and display cable into that so that i only have 2 cables to worry about at each location: Power and the USB Hub. I do not have any existing Type-C ports on my mobo or GPU so I would have to get a PCIe card. My concern is that with my G810 Keyboard, G502 mouse, monitor, and ethernet, that whatever power the expansion card puts out won't be enough. Not to mention any possible latency that would introduce for my mouse and keyboard. I already have a good idea of what kind of hub to get since Anker makes a few good ones like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Anker-Upgraded-Adapter-Ethernet-Pixelbook/dp/B07X8ZLYLR/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=anker+type+c+hub&qid=1589919088&sr=8-4 But i'm hoping someone here has some more experience with this so i can make a good choice regarding the expansion card Thanks in Advance!
  9. This is exactly what i was thinking when the g3 came out and i had my xperia z. It's just plain not that practical to have anything higher than 1080p on screens 6'' and smaller
  10. I gotta say that matte black and glowy nvidia green would be my go-to. At some point I'd really like to have a completely white build with white lights
  11. I absolutely love the the shroud on the Omega! I can't figure it out since i'm usually one to go for more minimalist design but i just love it. (Gotta love how how much of the card is made of metal too)
  12. My MOST favourite thing about the Sony Xperia Z2 is the fantastic build quality. I'd never heard about dBrand until today but a quick trip to their sight revealed some pretty awesome stuff. My favourite thing about dBrand is that all their cases are made in The Great White North! I currently own the Xperia Z and it has been extremely functional, useful and all around a very nice phone (better than most flagship phones out right now in my opinion). My only issue i've ever had was how slow it is now compared to all the new stuff. Now that we have the Z1 and Z2 that issue has been resolved. I've been thinking of purchasing Z2 since it came out and i love LTT so when Linus said he was giving this phone away i just about (http://goo.gl/pUcGv)
  13. I love it! I never use the Wi-fi share util. but it's pretty great
  14. Even though it wasn't showcased in the review, my favourite thing about the g550jk is the dedicated USB charging port!
  15. I must say that my most favourite thing about this phone is the body. It looks amazing! At first glance, you would think it's uni-body but it has a removable battery cover. (WHICH IS AWESOME)
  16. I would write more but it's late and I need to go to bed. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/06/02/rise-of-nations-download/ If you didn't jizz yourself after reading this there is something wrong with you. Goodnight
  17. Trying to avoid that, but if that's all I can do...
  18. well, it is for me, but more of a "This would be hilarious!" thing I don't have enough money to get you one...
  19. My friends were waiting for me to come play Command and Conquer with them because I was busy watching the latest review (For some Logitech mouse) when one of my friends said: "You're so obsessed with that channel I'm surprised you don't have a Linus hug pillow" Then I thought, Hey! that's a great idea! (4 teh lulz, of course) So if anybody has an image that would work for this that's be great! If I DO get one made I promise I'll post pics!
  20. Paypal/eBay is usually really good at getting your money back so you'll be just fine regardless. It's a win/not quit win not quite loss situation
  21. not in Canada thanks mang. Definitely going to buy it now
  22. So my friend and I have been looking into wireless adapters. We both refuse to use a USB adapter because of negative experiences in the past (for both of us) so we were looking exclusively for a PCIe card. I really wanted Bluetooth as well and refused to get a USB adapter (once again, bad experiences) Since it's damn near impossible to find an exclusively Bluetooth PCIe card, we tried to find something with both wireless and Bluetooth. That's when we found it The GC-WB867D-I Fully qualified Bluetooth 4.0 IEEE802.11ac standards compliant Antenna to support WLAN 2Tx2R transmission High speed wireless connection up to 867 Mbps Bluetooth Enhances Data Rate (EDR) support It looks like the perfect thing. And it also costs about 50 bucks Sweet mother of god. is it too good to be true? Somebody tell me it's not. Because I really want it. (can't find any reviews) Here's a link http://ca.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4739#ov
