oh by drive I meant SSD my bad, by slowing down PC I meant how full does the drive have to be to where it will affect how fast things load up / start up etc

^ what the title says whenever I fullscreen it stutters takes few seconds to do the animation, it becomes even slower if I load in the comments. not sure why this randomly started to happen few days ago the transition used to be instant and my PC is pretty decent. specs i5 7600k 16gb ram 1070 using browser Opera 54.0

When I have any game open I hit the "Start Recording" button on OBS ,it starts the recording but completely freezes my pc for 1-2 seconds then crashes the game and then says "Encoder Overloaded" but the recording continues. This only happens if I use NVENC encoder, x264 one works fine also when this happens my GPU load spikes up from 50% to 100% for no reason (I assume what causes the crash). I've tried reinstalling OBS, updating graphics drivers, and reinstalling graphics drivers. 1070 is a really good card should be able to handle 60fps 1080p. Has this happened to anyone else?

system process takes up around 5%-15% of my cpu whenever i'm playing a game is this normal? I don't recall it taking up this much months before I updated windows.

I doubt its geforce experience. Is your ram single channel or dual? that was the problem for me and a lot of other people

I have hyperX fury 16gb ram it is suppose to "auto overclock" to 2666MHZ but mine stays at 2133MHZ. I have enabled the XMP profile still stays. specs - i5 7600k ASUS STRIX Z270F motherboard

I don't want to mess with the idle freq and also my GPU card is mostly around 50-60 I have the fans turned up in msi afterburner

Overwatch was running fine up until this week my CPU usage now is around 70%-80% instead of 90%-99%. My FPS drops to 90 at times during team fights and hardly reaches 180 anymore (I have a 180hz monitor). I have nothing in the back except discord and task manager and the total CPU usage is what Overwatch is using. specs: i5 7600k GTX 1070 16gb ram

I was downloading something from adfly then another window popped up and automatically downloaded this file called "[File2org]_519042" winrar file, I immediately go to downloads folder and deleted it. If it was a virus would it get into my system without me opening it? I did a full scan with windows defender I know its not the greatest anti virus but their were no threats found. - running windows 10

Yea I have the XMP profile on and running on its advertised speed 2133mhz, some other games that are cpu intensive run fine for example fortnite, but same thing happens with BF1 50%-60% GPU usage.

@Ohsnaps I ran Furmark stress test, 90% GPU usage, 50% CPU

Yeah but other people with the same specs are getting 90-100% CPU usage aswell and their cards are at 80%-90% so I don't it is a bottleneck. I have discord msi afterburner and task manager, uses like 0.1% of the cpu so I don't think that is the problem either.

In Overwatch my gpu usage seems to hover around 30%-40% on low, about the same on epic settings aswell. My CPU is around 90%-100% I don't think its a bottleneck causing low usage because people with the same specs are getting 80%-90% with their GPU and a lot higher fps. People on Reddit, Overwatch forums say bad ram could be the issue, and my memory was the only thing that got under 40% everything else 80%+ in my userbenchmark test. I am having the same ish problem, I average about 200-300 fps but it drops around under 100 alot and my GPU usage is just sitting around 15% - 30%
