Never heard about that. I guess that's kind of the point of "Gray import" though. It does seem weird considering Vermont's very intense Inspection requirements though.

If only they would make another Shield portable. That thing was awesome, and I bet one with refreshed hardware and a high refresh rate screen would do well.

Huge shame, but the spire was only around 200 years old, so that's a bit less of a blow to me personally. Lucky it happened when so much was moved out for cleaning. New profile banner though..... is that a dual socket board?

I've been a huge fan of the Borderlands franchise ever since it was introduced to me through a steam sale. I was so excited when I heard we were actually going to get Borderlands 3, but the Epic Games store exclusivity is a killer for me. I won't be buying it on the Epic Games store launcher strictly due to the security problems and the ties Tencent has with the Chinese Communist party. This is unfortunate, but we shouldn't be supporting Epic for this. I'll be excited to play Borderlands 3 on it's real release date in April of 2020.- 202 replies

I'm having a lot of trouble getting my Xeon E5 2670 v3 ES to boot in my X99 OC Formula. I don't have any X99 cpu's to update the bios with either, so it looks like I'm going to have to buy a pre-flashed bios chip off ebay. Fun.

@MEC-777 I like the second option better because you have a lot of options for AMD in Linux and the natural optimization of Nvidia in Windows. Plus, you get CUDA acceleration in certain windows programs.

I'd say go for an AMD GPU for the Linux GPU because of the recently announced Linux Freesync Support. Or alternatively, you could build a ryzen system with a 2400G, use the onboard for the Linux distro, and spend the money you set aside for 2 cards on 1 powerful gpu for the Windows system.

I'm pretty worried about the heat these cards make considering the dual fan founders card. Especially since we are now getting leaked pictures of AIB cards, a lot of the ones I have seen appear to be 2.5/3 slots wide. That is a very worrying thing for me for a few reasons, the first being that if all 2080ti's are going to be 3 slots wide, standard itx cases are not going to be able to fit them. My second concern is that if they need to be 3 slots wide, they probably are going to run super hot. Just my 2 cents. -
