ENBs and HiAlgo both use wrappers. The reason they break eachother is that the wrapper is a software sitting outside the API and driver. It can only apply things AFTER the fact.
 
What AMD/RTG is intending to do, is implement the tech at a driver level. This would offer MUCH more granular control then a simple overlay would.

Oh yeah! The only reason I can see them doing this is so they can be lazy and not optimize it and just run the game looking like garbage. 

$199 base price from amd. So when other manufacturers release their own cooling solution, I assume that would hit around $200-250

AMD cards always underperform on/ before launch and grow with every driver update. For example the Fury X couldn't beat the 980 Ti in many many games at launch, a few driver updates later and they're on par with the Fury X winning in DX12 and DX11 when 4K mostly every game.
 
The point he was making was that additional headroom they have to improve its performance.

We have known for months that Polaris will be out on laptops from day one. How is that a bad thing?
 
Unlike who? NVidia cannot even make a full fat GP100, and P100 is not out anytime soon. NVidia selling all their high end chips for B2B compute tasks, what's left for gaming? Not full fat GP100 chips, that's for sure.
 
High end AMD and NVidia chips will have HBM2 at the end of the year/start of 17. You're surprised by things the rest of us has known for months. I guess that's what happens when you blacklist everyone who calls you out on your bs.
