First off I know this topic has been discussed and addressed many times. However, all the information I can find on it seems to be months or years old.
That being said the general consensus seems to be spend all your money on the most expensive graphics card you can. What I want to know is with current graphics card prices being pretty out of control does this still hold true? I am currently trying, and I use the word trying lightly, to update my gaming PC. I have pretty much made all of my decisions as far as hardware goes but the graphics card has been causing trouble preventing a finished product. I don't want anything crazy extream I game mostly in 1080p. I was aiming for a GTX 1050 Ti or better but with the lowest price, I can find being between 200 and 300 dollars. I started to wonder about doing a Crossfire setup with 2 RX 560 2GB or 2 RX 550 4GB they can easily be found for around 120 dollars putting me only 40 dollars over the lowest price 1050 Ti I could find. I know not all games can't take advantage of a crossfire confix and I know it's not a 100% improvement in performance but could/would it be worth it? I want real data not just an opinion because you are team red or team green.
