  1. Is it possible to run bitcoin with two Asus Strixs GTX 960 4gb OC edition cards (for the love of god do not ask me to get rx 580s or gtx 1080ti cards) and an i7 4790 as I want to do this to get some cash on the side? If I can, are there any good calculators to calculate how much I could make a week? I don't have the money to buy one of those asicminers or whatever there called as I don't see me somehow collection thousands of dollars to buy one. EDIT: I just want to know if this hardware could run bitcoin, that's all really.
  2. Hey ever bothered to read the paragraph below the title?
  3. I have one of these old motherboards with an am3 cpu. I'm used to that good ol intel with the simple branding with the name right on it, but this am3 cpu says its an Athlon II. Now, I can just say its that can get on with my life but I would like to know which one it is. Sure I can just get a screen and turn it on and go into bios but I'm quite lazy to do that. The cpu has a data matrix code on it which it doesn't recognize for me. Any ideas? EDIT: don't flame me for real I never used amd cpus and I'm not experienced with it.
  4. Yeah, I just realised you can't overclock on factory set motherboards like gateway because its locked basically. But hey this type of information is good.
  5. Thanks for the responses guys, this made me understand it more!
  6. Thanks, I managed to fix it. Marking this as solved!
  7. I've never fully understanded what is overclocking. My dad and I want to know this type of stuff because he has an i7 2600k that can be overclocked, but he wants to know before-hand what are the benefits of overclocking.
  8. I literally said I had an external gpu in the system and it would post fine.
  9. Thanks, Ill try that in a few. Ill let you know how that goes!
  10. I've ran into a problem, the ASUS p8b75m LE PLUS board I just booted wouldn't post with integrated graphics (as I mean the dvi and vga on the board itself) , it would post with a graphics card it seems like. Now, the simple awnser would to just use the graphics card, but I would still like to know if theres something that's disabling the integrated graphics from the motherboard. EDIT: also, I installed the cpu in correctly and such so I'm not quite sure.
  11. Thanks for the feedback, I replaced the power supply as it was too little in my opinion with a corsair 550watt. I would've used my 475 from another hp but the cables were short as hell.
  12. I built a system with an asus p8b75m le plus board, 8gb of ram and an i5 2320 as a spare parts build with one of my old gpus. Now, its starting to power on and off and I'm worried this may kill the computer, it isn't the motherboard, ram or cpu as those are brand new. Could it be my power supply? Its an hp 300watt power supply as well, could this be the cause of failure? I have like a few other power supplys to test this with, what do you think?
