  1. Meaning no matter the BIOS settings the board won’t allow anything over 3.7ghz?
  2. Hey guys, I recently grab some hardware that I had seen on YouTube, mainly just to tinker with. It’s a “PlexHD X79t” motherboard and an E5 1680v2 Xeon. And yes I know the Xeon draws way too much power for the power delivery but it’s mainly just tinkering hardware. My problem is the CPU won’t clock above 3.7ghz no matter what the BIOS tells it. (I also fully unlocked the BIOS to see if there were hidden options) I have increased power limit durations and toggled P and C states on and off with no luck of getting higher clocks. If anyone has experience with these boards any advice would be appreciated. Thanks PS I attached a scroll through of the BIOS options I unlocked FullSizeRender.mov
  3. Any recommendations on what distribution of Linux? I’m pretty unfamiliar
  4. Hey guys, I am wanting to use some old hardware that I have to start a Minecraft server for myself and a couple friends. The hardware is- i7 2600, 8gb ddr3 1333, 500gb sata ssd, intel hd graphics (no gpu) My question is what OS should I use? I’m familiar with Windows but I think I should go for Linux?
  5. I may just use the cpu header for the pump
  6. Yes the pump speed can be changed in the bios but after launching windows will always revert to full speed
  7. Hey guys, so I have a z370-i strix mobo that has a 4 pin pump fan header that runs at 100% by design. I want to slow the pump down a little for noise and longevity but the other 2 headers are being used by 6x 140mm fans. My question is can I put a Noctua PWM low noise adapter on the pump? Would that cause any damage to the pump? (Using EKWB PWM pump res combo) Thanks!
  8. Hey guys, I’m building a new system in the evolv itx tempered glass. It has a custom loop with a top mounted 280mm rad, 2 140mm fans on top (on rad), 2 140mm fans up front and a 140mm at the rear. The mobo has a cpu fan header and a system fan header. How should I setup/plug in my fans to get optimal positive pressure? Thanks!
  9. What’s up guys, I am about to start a new build that’s going to have a custom hardline loop and was wondering if I should use acrylic or PETG? The only reason I’m considering acrylic is because this build won’t have any bends, only fittings. Thanks!
