  1. I have a corsair AX850 gold power supply, don't really have any other to swap it out with. When i hit the power button on the case the pc won't turn on at all, nothing goes on, but then again if I try several times it may actually star after a few seconds i pressed it. Same thing with the internal switch on the mobo (Asus p8z68 pro/gen3). Even if I turn off the PSU and then switch it on again it doesn't seem to do anything effective, it just seems random all the times. Thanks for the answers guys!
  2. Hey guys! I've got yet another problem to figure out ._. My pc boots fine and is quite speedy, no issues with that but for a week or two now I've been experiencing a weird issue about turning it on. It just won't if I press both the internal or the case switch, sometimes i need to wait for it to be ''ready'' or sometimes i need to switch off the psu, I have no clue about what's going on. Since I've unplugged the power switch header and used the internal switch located on the mobo I can say for sure that the switch on the case isn't broken, because I have the same problem by using the internal switch. This occurs when I turn off the pc at night and then get back next day after school, i always need to wait for it or maybe turn off the power or invent some stupid way to figure out what the hell is going on... I'm kind of worried now since it ALWAYS happens and I thought about asking you guys because I have no clue whatsoever... If you have any kind of suggestions I'll listen, thank you for your time =D
  3. Hey guys, So i've got a z623 from Logitech for quite a while and it just came to my mind if it could have damagaed anyhow the internal components of my custom pc. I take good care of it every 2-3 months for maintenance against dust and anything else that happens, but it would be horrible if a mechanical drive would die because of the vibrations. I don't usually fire them up so loud, but sometimes i just wanna get crazy and pump some electronic music to 70%, which makes my wardrobe on the other side of the room go nuts! Soo yeah... It just came in my mind, i guess that normal internal parts such as flash chips shouldn't have any problem, still, I wouldn't mind having a confirmation by someone who understands things better than me. My rig isn't going anywhere, it doesn't have wheels, the subwoofer is about half a meter away from the pc and i can feel a lot of vibrations under my desk when i turn up the volume :P Thanks for the attention, hope this question wasn't that stupid haha
  4. Hello folks, i've been having this problem for quite a while and i'm not really sure how to fix it or if there's actually a way to fix it... When i first built my computer i have installed only one ssd because i was planning to get an hard drive next month, for the first month it ran perfect 10 sec or less boot times and awesome speeds. The problem is after i've installed the Hard Drive i still get great write and read speeds, no problem with that, but the boot got fucked up, and i really don't know why. Basically when i had only the ssd installed it showed me the motherboard screen for a second and then boot directly into windows after the ''beep'' coming from the internal speaker. After i have installed the hard drive (500 gb 7200 rpm western digital caviar) the bios screen appears at the beginning for 30 to 40 seconds (but i can't interact with it, if i press delete it won't log into the bios) then a black screen with writing on top left corner appears for a couple second (I'll post a picture) and then finally i hear the ''beep'' from the internal speakers, see the bios screen for a second (i can interact with this one) and get the same 10 seconds or less to boot in windows. I really don't know what the issue is since i've tried to format and plug off the hard drive and none of this worked, even with the system running and the drive plugged off i still get the same thing. I tried to coexist with it since now because it was only a boot problem, but i'm kinda tired of it now and i want it to go away, any help please? I would love to hear anything from you. If you can't read well the text in the image it says: ''Initializing Intel® Boot Agent GE v1.3.65 PXE 2.1 Build 089 (WfM 2.0) Press Ctrl+S to enter the Setup Menu
  5. Wow they look awesome, and they got awesome reviews too, i actually never even heard of the company before (that's how bad i am xD). I'll do some research and let you know, they're also available through amazon.it at a reasonable price (150 euros), you've been very helpful thank you^^ I guess i'll be buying an audio card to try it out, xonar phoebus looks good, especially since it's optimised for gaming which is something i do a lot (yea i'm still 17 =P) do you think it's worth it? Goes for around 170 euros on amazon
  6. Mhh i'll see what i can find but i don't think i'll find anything good at any local store near me, it's a miracle if they sell monitors! (crappy 17 inches...)
  7. Oh also i like more of a closed noise-isolating headphone since my sister's a pain in the ass sometimes with her noises :P
  8. Yea, if only stores were nearly as good as other countries in Italy, the only place i could go and try something that has barely anything to do with true computers components and stuff is fnac (wich actually only sells peripherals) but it's far away and i can't reach it without a couple hours by car -.-'' It's ridiculous, the only few cities here that have even decent stores are of course Milan and Rome which are both more than 4 hours by car away from me right now... I swear i'll be moving to the states as soon as i can, i'm tired of this place... Anyway back in topic, since i cannot really try anything out i can tell you pretty much what i like, i know i'm being a little invasive right now but i really do'nt know where to bang my head right now... Usually i love deep bass, with clear highs but comfort comes at first place because i really hate g930s for the headband, it's too stiff! Also the less cabling the better, even though i would like one of those little amps to sit on my desk as a hub for headphones =P I really hope i'm not asking too much, but really electronics in italy aren't that advanced because people isn't interested in it, atleast i can still rely on amazon services which are crappier than most other countries but still great!
  9. Yes it will because you'll be transferring half the pixels to the cpu and they won't load the gpu while gaming, this usually means minor improvements in Fps, even though they won't be noticeable with higer end cards, if you're using the second one only for web browsing or documents exc. i higly recommend hooking it up to the mobo ;-)
  10. Ok so what kind of headphones do i need? Is an amplifier required? I'm really a noob on this topic because as i said i never had the chance to try a dedicated card, it has always been marked as optional so i don't know :P Can i hear a difference with my z623? They're pretty good speakers nonetheless
  11. Well thanks i guess but you didn't really answer the main point, is it that much of an improvement over on-board audio?
  12. Hey guys, I have built my first pc this year and it's been working great for quite a while now, I've gone with pretty good hardware overall but never really thought about getting a dedicated sound card... Is it really that much of an improvement? I mean i listen a lot of songs every day, play a lot of games and on board audio sounds amazing to me (I've got z623 Speakers and Logitech g930 headset, if i invest in a new sound card i'll get proper headphones too) but i never actually tried a dedicated card so i don't really know what to do... If that's the case (big improvement) what card would you recommend? If possible i'm searching for the best solution since i have got a little bit of money stocked, but only if it really is a huge difference. Also what kind of headphone would be best to listen music and play games? (250 budget on these) I'd like to have surround but stereo is ok too, thank you for your answers (if there will be any lol)
