  1. im ok with a long answer. im not looking for advice really just to start a conversation. i have heard good things about MSI and Nindia but then that could be more to do with marketing than anything else.
  2. what is the honest difference between all the different types of manufacturers? are some more reliable than others? do some offer more power or efficiency. in short whats the crack
  3. what would you say to swap the router over then or running an ethernet cable to the Asus router which is what I had to last time I set it up. then running the wifi from that do u think it would make a difference. my internet it's running ok at the moment on average about 40Mbs its supposed to be 80 but you never get what you pay for BT infinity my arse. I just want it to run as efficient as possible
  4. how do thy work does it run your internet through the cables in the house
  5. I'm currently running all the devices in my home on the wifi provided by the router from my ISP (British Telecom) I want to try and improve it I did use to use an ASUS RT-N56U N600 Dual-Band Gigabit Wireless Router which was plugged into my old ISP router I am unsure if this would be better to use or how I would go about it. please note I live in a listed building so drilling through walls and running cables is not an option
  6. thanks for the advice. from my understanding, AMD has always been a little slower at bringing stuff out. and i think for a first build I'm going to stick with it and see how i go, got to think about the long-term i think and its already looking like a £1000 pc
  7. that is the CPU that I have in my build i have just been doing a bit a bit of digging around and i have come across this article but tbh i think im going to stick with what i have planned for now and just see how i go. this whole process of building this pc is going to be expensive especially with the price hikes but to upgrade CPU alone, later on, will be much more reasonable providing my motherboard is up to it btw this is the on i have picked out let me know what you think https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/6T7CmG/gigabyte-ga-ab350m-gaming-3-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-ga-ab350m-gaming-3 other articles on AMD https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/amd-announces-new-ryzen-processors-heres-7-things-/2900-1736/?ftag=GSS-05-10aab8e&utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A Trending Content&utm_content=5a54d1f304d301476c58a0c0&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitter
  8. not sure if I'm going to be waiting around tho it is definitely an option later on in pretty sure this build is going to be good for what I need it to do witch is gaming I'm hoping I can get a least 3 years out of my CPU with overclocking. and first, post and already hit by the forum kill joys nice welcome.... what a surprise (i talk crap)
  9. I'm just starting on the pc the building thing I have priced up and sorted out my build and I have just started ordering the parts. I am just watching to know if there are going to be and any change to the ryzen 5 processors if there is going to be some kind of second generation coming for CES 2018 which is currently on going
