No. The HyperX Cloud isn't a "Kiddie" headset. The M50X' sound very similar to the M40x, a bit more bass, and costs significantly more. The M40X' are a better choice over the M50s because of various issue's they've fixed and features they've added. (Including better padding) They're also just as well built. 

I agree, none of the keys are inherently better than others for a given task. For example, I'm better when typing on Cherry MX Reds

Just pay for shipping, that'll be $1800 please.

• Used “Headphones” option without Virtual Surround for Imaging testing.
• Used Mayflower O2 + ODAC Amp/DAC Combo for all Testing.

They're great headphones haha, they're just some things to consider. The reason I said you'll want an Amp/DAC combo depending on the headphone is because the K612 Pros and Q701s are harder to drive than the others. Between the two, the 612 is the more neutral of the two, has less bass, a smaller soundstage though better imaging, and is more comfortable for me because of the bumps on the headband. There are other differences in the sound, but those are what I think you'll notice. 

If you're using something like VLC you can change the playback device, they show up as separate devices I presume. 

No problem I'm glad to help. It's in preferences under audio. Basically you have your windows default playback device set and VLC set to something else.

Not too sure about australian pricing, but check out the AT2020 as well. 

Yeah, that's helpful. the Jaybird Bluebuds X are probably the best option in its price range for a bluetooth IEM. There aren't too many good portable wireless headphones, but there are a few if you dislike IEMs. 

Doesn't say it all. Budget, Availability, sound signature, over, on or in-ear etc.

Haha, that's fine. I haven't used a considerably large amount of headsets, but I've used my fair share.  How important is sound quality, comfort, mic quality etc. 

"Soundproof"? Well, that doesn't exist . I assume you mean noise isolation haha. What's your budget? I don't know what you consider "cheap" 

Did they give you other suggestions and reasons why they'd be bad for $100? For Closed back headphones around $100, they're pretty good.
