  1. Sry it took a wile been at work.. Well my recommendation is not to fiddle with timings that can realy F things upp for you. there are som videos on it on the tube. but one thing to remember is that timings and clock speed are kinda linked. If you overclock the recommended clock speed of mem, then it's hard to make the timings faster. But one problem you might have had is that the ram dose' nt wanna clock higher on account on the low CPU speed. If you overclock your CPU it should be easier to clock up those ram sticks to 3000 MHz or even higher.
  2. Everybody has heard of ASUS ROG lineup of different products. It looks like Gigabyte is trying to get in with the action with their Aorus likewise. It would be interesting to se what they bring to the table.
  3. I would try to overclock the CPU to highest stable without any extra volt. usely around 3.6 Ghz. Then i overclock the memory to lets say 2.600 MHz. if that works try o get it to 2933 MHz. Let us know how it si going and we should be able to get your Overclocks to atleast 3.9 Ghz and 2933 MHz mem.
  4. yes it will, the i5 8400 is a great gaming chip but if you wanna stream what you are playing you need those extra cores. If you are a "heavy" streamer i would recommend an R7 but an R5 is ok.
  5. Well the clock speed is 'nt anything to write home about but if you go with an X370 MB you have usely better VRM cooling and dual BIOS to make it count when overclocking. Well you would save more realy. the 1600 is sent with a stock cooler that is pritty good. It has a 95 watts of TDP for your CPU with a 65 W TDP you can easy overclock it to 3.6 with out any heat problems. Ps and remember you have a 75Hz monitor you dont need something like a I7 8700k. Ryzens will do a good job for you up to around 120 Fps, you wanna hunt those high refresh rates go intel, Nvidia and G-sync Ds Good luck on your PC-part hunting
  6. well in that case go Red you would have to go for an i7 8700k or non k to match the Ryzen in streaming wile gaming preformance.
  7. I would go for the 1070ti save 100 bucks and overclock it the differens between 1080and 1070 ti would be close to non in gaming.
  8. Well there in lies the problem, how long will my hardware last if i hade know when Nvidia released the 780 TI would have gotten one. It was a killer GPU and still is for DX 11 titles. The real bang for the buck is finding that CPU or GPU that lasts for years at end.
  9. Ok I have read all your inputs to this thread. Many good suggestions. As of know An I7 8700k is about 100 bucks more than an R7 1700 non x( In Sweden). The price of the MB are about the same if you go with X370 or the Z370. What system to buy is not up to the price right know for what i can see. It's more up to what FPS you wanna play. If you are chasing that extrem high FPS go for Intel. The differens is 'nt huge between the two but it exists. But here comes my input and my "two cents". I'm a AMD fan boy but still i would go for the I5 8600k its cheaper than the 8700k and it beats the I7 6700k witch is a great CPU. And if its just gaming you are after the extra threads wont do you know good.
  10. I would wait a little longer CES is this week. Something nice might end up showcasing there. I would follow Linus Tech Tip on YT. and others like Paul, Kyle and Jay. And then it depends on what card you have right now. and what games you are playing. Good luck with your GPU hunting.
  11. I have had similar problems syncing my MB x370 k5 with my case AC300W. What seams to be the problem for me, is that the color representation in BIOS is different from the one in windows. I have'nt figured out why just yet but i will look deeper in to this "conflict" and se if i can resolv it.
