    ULMB

Does anyone here have a monitor with ULMB and use it? I have a friend who has a Dell S2716DG and he said that he used to use G-Sync but once he tried ULMB, he couldn't switch back. Does anyone else have a similar experience of do the opposite? For reference, I play mostly Overwatch. Thanks!
  2. Budget: As cheap as possible. I'm aiming at less than $400-USD, hopefully more like $300. I have a 250gb adata ssd that I can use, I don't think I'll need any more storage. I also have a EVGA 600B that I can use for this. Aim: The main purpose for this computer is to play Overwatch on all low settings except for texture filtering quality and anti-aliasing which I'd like to keep at high. I'd also use this for some Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop work but not much and occasionally fortnite. Monitors: I am going to be using a Samsung C24FG70 (1080p144hz) and another Samsung monitor (1080p60hz) Peripherals: I got my own keyboard and mouse and headset. I have thought about going used which seems like it'd make a lot of sense but I'm not sure what I should be looking for and if I go for it, what upgrades I should be getting. Or if I should get new parts. Thanks
  3. chop of the mid section of the heatsink that makes contact with the core, ziptie a h60 or a cheap used 120mm rad to it and use the non-chopped off part of the cooler to cool your vrms.
  4. Hello! I am interested in what the community's general opinion on Alienware is? And here are the specific aspects I am thinking of: Do people have issues with their customer service or quality control? In general do they make good products that have competitive features, specs and engineering put into them? Are they overpriced? Are they better at certain products than others? Have there been phases in their existance when they delivered a really good or bad line-up of products compared to other years? Did their reputation, products and business change when Dell bought them? If so how and was it positive or negative? It's a lot of questions that I don't expect many people to answer but I'm interested in how they are viewed. Sorry if it's in the wrong subforum. Thanks!
  5. The LG 34UM68 though keep in mind that PPI will be considerably less than a 29" so I'd consider whether you want to get a 34"

yes. your vram doesn't have to be directly compatible with your psu.

    TN VS IPS

I have a Dell S2716DG and it has a very good TN panel and honestly, I think the average gamer can live with it. That being said, it does not compete with IPS's color performance so don't expect that level of vibrancy and depth.
  11. Maybe try DDUing your drivers and reinstalling
