I solved it. Riser cable.
 
The initial problems were cmos issues due to the computer being off for week. Should have never happened. Probably an Asus issue.
 
However, while taking it apart to solve my initial problem, i must have nicked the riser cable. The last three prongs on the riser cable had lifted off.
 
The tiny lack of uniformity caught my eye while i was swapping in another known power supply. It doesnt really show in the picture.
 
I plugged the gpu directly into the mb, and the audio issues were gone.

I use a desk with a keyboard tray so that my wrists are not at an angle; they are parallel with the keyboard mouse surface. I also use an embody chair I picked up on craigslist for $400; this chair has adjustable arm rests. But really, you just need to adjust the height of the chair you have, so that your lower arms are pretty much parallel with the mouse the keyboard.
 
You can get a desk with a keyboard tray, but they're not as common now.
 
Money spent on saving yourself from carpal tunnel and tendonitis is money well spent.

I think a use case or some sort of guidance on what you are doing and what you are looking for as far as recommendations could definitely help as currently theres no information at all.
 
nvm , i think the first build may be ok but the second build is far overspec'd for the task

I updated the bios. Have not had a code 55 since. Thank God.

I did this for about two weeks. It worked. Spent over 30 bucks on cables. The double bass improved the sound quite a bit. However, it was still just bad on top of bad, which didn't even make it OK. Did some craigslisting and got a DVD era 100w receiver, some BS22 bookshelves and a 12 inch sub for cheap. I bought some SM45s too. All in 300 bucks. Totally destroys the Logitech z906. A craigslist receiver and used speakers are the way to go.
