    Hey guys,

So this will be my first attempt at water cooling and I'm just now starting the process. My current setup is:
EVGA 1080 TI FTW3 w/AIO Kit Intel 8700K w/AIO Kit ASUS Maximus X Formula 32 GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 I'll be upgrading to a newly ordered EVGA 2080 TI FTW3 HydroCopper, and plan on using all EKWB parts with soft tubing. A picture of the new card and my current build are attached.

I'm currently on a two month work trip, so wont be able to start building the new loop until March, but enjoy the pics thus far and I'll keep u all updated as I progress!

^^^ Second this. My rig I'm using rn and one I built for a friend last Christmas are both using ZMT tubing, it's amazing stuff. I use mine with barbs and black zip ties for security, looks good and doesn't leak.

Looking forward to the build.  Post a link to the build log.
I can't recommend EK ZMT tubing enough.
If you are going to go for soft tubing, that is the way to go!

Let us know if you have any other questions!

I can definitely understand this fear. I have it too, and I keep going back and forth between this, the 2080TI, or just keeping my 1080TI and see what happens.

Thing is though, there is never really a perfect time to upgrade. Sure, there are better and worse times, but technology continues to be updated at a rapid rate. This is especially true in the higher end market, where the top of the line cell phone, CPU, GPU, whatever, will be replaced eventually. Just got to make a decision of if it makes sense for you and go from there.

Thanks for the quick response! Yeah I didn't even know that section existed! I figured since this was still planning stages it could go here and then hop over to something like that section if I did it.

Good news is EVGA has exceptional tech support so if this one's broken too I can just RMA it again or return it. I will say if I run I to another defect I'm probably just going to ask for a refund and do a custom loop lol.

    Tetra,

Actually, the electricians came by today and determined it was the AHCI breaker that was faulty, or at least the sensor on it. As the whole house was wired with 12-Gauge wiring, the electricians were able to replace the 15-Amp AHCI breaker with a 20-Amp non-AHCI breaker. That's solved the problems. The electricians were telling me they are always having issues with those new breakers and they tend to degrade over time anyways.

So overall, problem is solved, and my office is all ready for two computers, a laserjet printer, and some other peripherals! Thanks to all three of you for helping me out in this issue.

All, sorry for the late reply. I promised you all pictures of my setup. I finally got the new graphics card installed, which is fortunate, because I got the FTW3 for MSRP and now it's selling online for well over twice the MSRP! In any case, enjoy!
