try doing some memory test yes some cases memory can cause shutdown .Use window memory test for quick result or memtest86 if you have a spare usb stick plus dont mind wait the whole day for full result . Assuming your friend psu have the same watt and consume the same power as well
-
ya now i thinking the same as well not sure what model is that but definitely not V series
-
try another PCI-e slot?
-
oh ok didn't see that then in msi after burner revert to default setting click the loop back arrow. If you got 3dmark or any stress testing software try it.If you have another PCI-e slot swap it and see if still have the problem

i have experience this similar issue also where my pc will go blank(no signal ) randomly but most of the time gaming.Turn out that my power supply cannot deliver even power with single rail cable i have a 2x 8 pin connector btw so the fix is connect two rail separately .But for your gpu only one 6 pin so maybe not this problem
-
ok you know the 6pin connector cable you connect from your PSU try changing another one. Also what the PSU model and how much you paid for?
-
try using another power rail .BTW can you tell me what the reason msi afterburner says about gpu limit.
