If you don't mind voiding your warranty, delidding your cpu and replacing the TIM under the IHS with liquid metal will resolve this issue. Its just background proccesses putting load on the CPU and the poor TIM being unable to dissipate it to the IHS fast enough. My 7700K also used to do this and it was super annoying since it would cause the fans to go beserk if I didn't have sufficient hysteresis.

Could be something like a malware that's coming up and using cpu resource every once in a while.. i had something like this before
the other thing that could cause this is defective liquid cooling or just old AIO that doesn't have enough liquid inside or with other words the liquid has evaporated thus leaving air inside the system
my 4 year old AIO had maybe half of the liquid left inside and would run like 45 degrees idle and every once in a while would rice up to 60 but that takes like 10-15 minutes to rise the temperature.
Also look at your thermal compound if u have too little maybe it will be good for like idling and maybe not even noticeable while idling but when u put a stress on the cpu it will rice the temperature fast because not having enough thermal paste will restrict thermal conductivity.

It's kind of what the 7700k does in my experience. It runs hot and has these weird spikes. Mine does it as well.

Just wanted to give Linus and specially Jon here on the forum a huge thank you for making my bday so awsome!.

I contacted Jon earlier this month to see what the chances of getting Linus to sign my keyboard for my birthday was.

To my surprise he replied and actually talked to him regarding it and set it up for my birthday eve.

I was greeted at the door Tyler. Met Linus and had edzal even take a picture of me and Linus.

Been waching them for years on YouTube and was so overwhelmed with geek starstruck i could hardly talk.

The nite before I thought I should clean my keyboard so Linus wasn't grossed out haha never had time to put all my keycaps back on "which he made a comment about"

The morning of while getting my gear ready in my truck for jobs after meeting them I locked my keys in my truck. Due to me being in  lala land. Had to get a local towing company to come and open it for me. Lol

But it was all worth it. Thanks again and keep up the awsome work guys and thank you so much!!!
