  1. Not really. Is the G300s any good? It's currently on sale here.
  2. Has anyone used (or even heard of) an HP M220 gaming mouse? I was thinking of buying a new (cheap, obviously) mouse and this thing popped up in my amazon search result. Also if someone could suggest anything better for cheaper than 1000 INR (approx. $15), that would be much appreciated. I don't play CS:GO or anything. Just a casual gamer looking for something that works, will last and is comfortable to hold even with sweaty palms, if possible. https://www.amazon.in/HP-M220-Wired-Optical-Gaming/dp/B07CHDWVNX/ref=pd_sbs_147_8?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07CHDWVNX&pd_rd_r=953250ad-399a-11e9-8b53-c51629a82c82&pd_rd_w=iIz68&pd_rd_wg=OUVjR&pf_rd_p=87667aae-831c-4952-ab47-0ae2a4d747da&pf_rd_r=THV8W29WEQ57N0BVWFKH&psc=1&refRID=THV8W29WEQ57N0BVWFKH
  3. For some time now the audio in my system precedes the video by about 100-200 millisecs. The issue persists whether I'm using speakers, headphones (both 3.5 mm jacks) or the speakers within my monitor (LG 24mp88hv - HDMI). Also it doesn't matter if I'm playing local files or streaming online or gaming. I used to be able to not notice this but lately it's become extremely annoying. Has this happened to anyone else ?
  4. I don't want to game during power outages, just an opportunity to safely shut down. Do you think a 1000VA / 600W one will have me covered, or should I spring for 1350VA / 810W ? Thanks for responding BTW.
  5. Could someone please suggest a UPS for my rig? Currently I have my CPU connected to an APC BE700Y-IND (monitor, speakers and modem are all connected to another one I had lying around). The thing is, whenever the power goes out while I'm gaming, the UPS just gives up (overloads might be the appropriate term, but I'm not sure) and my CPU dies. This only happens with certain games, though. Far Cry 5, Just Cause 3, Shadow of War and even Crysis 3 didn't cause any problems during power outage. However, The Witcher 3, Hitman (2016) and GTA V all did. Recently I replayed Far Cry 3 and I forgot to turn on V-Sync and the same thing happened. Also, while I was playing Watch Dogs 2, this happened in one particular area and unplugging my headset stopped the problem (didn't work for any of the other games). I did find an Amazon review that might explain this, and I'll include an image. I really don't want any more saves to get corrupted or hear that horrible beep my UPS makes. Here are my specs: i5 7600 w/ stock cooler ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Dual-Fan OC Edition Asus H270-PRO motherboard 2 x 8 GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance memory 1 x 2 TB WD Blue HDD (internal) 1 x 500 GB Toshiba HDD (internal) 1 x 250 GB Samsung EVO 850 3 x 120 mm case fans Cooler Master Masterwatt Lite 600W PSU HyperX Cloud Core headset and speakers (3.5mm jack) are always plugged in along with 2 keyboards and a mouse.
  6. Is there any way to update Android apps and games without having to download the entire thing all over again? Each update of PUBG mobile will require me to download more than 1.5 GB every time, which isn't feasible considering how slow my wifi is.
  7. Holy shit! I unplugged my headset from the PC and problem solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF?!
  8. My UPS (APC BY700IN) is perfectly capable of providing backup while gaming when the power goes out. However when the power goes out and I have a key pressed in my keyboard at the same time, it overloads and shuts off. Thing is, this only happens with certain demanding games (with WD2 and Agents of Mayhem, not with DX:MD). If I turn the power off and then resume playing the backup works fine. It only goes out if I have a key pressed at the exact moment the power goes out (which happens a lot here in India). My PC has an i5 7600, 3gb GTX 1060, asus h270 pro mobo, 2 x 8 corsair vengeance RAM, 3 case fans, 2 HDD, 1 SSD, !external HDD (USB) and a Hyperx cloud core headset. (My monitor, wifi and speakers are powered by a seperate UPS.) (My case is a Cooler Master K380)
  9. Sorry about that; I have an APC BE700Y-IN.
  10. My UPS shuts down completely whenever there's a power outage while gaming. This has resulted in multiple save files being corrupted. What could be the reason for this? Thing is, I can load these very same games when the UPS is on standby without it turning off. WTF? I have: Cooler master lite 600W PSU i5 7600 (w/ stock cooler) ASUS gtx 1060 3gb 2 hard dives (2tb + 500gb) 1 Sansung evo 850 (250 gb) SSD 3 case fans A WD elements external hard drive (usb3.0) ASUS H270 PRO motherboard
  11. Turns out the game itself wasn't the turn off for me, but the new way I had arranged my PC. It was claustrophobic and my chair and sitting position weren't comfortable either. So I put my PC back the way it was, deleted my progress and stated over from scratch. I'm enjoying the game very much now. Thanks everyone for commenting.

    HD 215 for gaming

Is the HD 215 from Sennheiser any good for gaming or should I opt for the GSP 300? I play single player games, so the microphone is not needed. Also, I'm currently using cheap (~$20) 2.1 speakers. Will a headset be more immersive?
  13. Hi, I started playing The Witcher 3 recently and immediately realized that I was intimidated by the sheer size of the world and the amount of content in the game. Whereas the mere thought of GTA5's Los Santos and Watch Dogs 2's San Francisco made me want to play those games, Witcher 3's Continent did nothing of the sort. I know, objectively speaking, the Witcher 3 is as good as games get. It is worth all the praise being showered on it to this day. I just want to know if someone else was intimidated the way I was. PS: I would also like to mention that I'm under medication for clinical depression and anxiety. That may also be a factor in how I felt about the game.
