Was a tad bored, so I went out to have lunch, dropped by a mall near my office and bought these. Love OPM, the tee-shirt's gonna put a smile on my face when I wear it. Been agonizing over getting COD IW Legacy Ed because I so want MW Remastered, but my lusting after it overrode my reservation about my slow as molasses net speed......it's gonna take me a while to download the game, but I should have it all in in time for the Christmas and New Year holiday.

Just for shits and giggles.  Looks like whatever horrible disease that infected the horses in Skyrim has also jumped the Witcher's Gwent beta(even more so than TW3).

No, she didn't say government body.  That's the logical implication when calling for bipartisan legislation to regulate fake news.

Fake news is a problem, yes, and here it comes the well educated, self-righteous people to tell the masses what is true and what is fake. This shit is getting Orwellian and some are applauding it. Well America, welcome to the third world.

If Facebook or Twitter wishes to change their algorithms to censor, that is their platform.  I wouldn't like the decision, but it's theirs to make.  When the government steps in to do so, it has a whole other level of implications, which will not end well.

The start of information control and surprise surprise, it is coming from a Democrat that lost. Next they will go after conservative new sites/channels, and then independent until only their voices can be heard.

Funnily enough though, fake news comes from Fox News and CNN the majority of the time, but oh, we can't silence DNC controlled media. That'd be wrong!

The only fake news here is all those news organizations and polls that said The Donald had no chance of winning the election.

Fake news is a problem, yes, but letting certain people determine what is "fake news" is just as big as a problem. They can just as easily say any source is fake and have it censored or removed. For example, a lot of people claimed the news about Hillary's secret server (and classified information sharing) was "fake news" (hell, even Hillary claimed it!) but look where that got us a few months later.

The solution is never censorship of information. If you don't get how that is a problem, not my problem.

Also I just want to point out that Harry Reid spread some false claims about Romney during the 2012 election, and justified it with "he didn't win, did he", though I doubt it affected anything I just wanted to point it out because if there is one politician I find worse than Clinton, it would be Reid

Funny thing is that by doing this it would encourage someone like myself to make fake news just to fuck with them due to my contempt for both the mainstream media and government censorship, but really the news that killed her chances was real, corruption isn't something people like.

Definitely, but if fake news is a problem and her campaign was responsible for it, it is their fault he believed in "false news" and got so many others to believe it. If anything, he was just misinformed by Democratic sources.

I can't believe any human intelligent enough to have rational thoughts is for this. There have been a ton of news which were first called false which later turned out to be true. Remember that little leak about US mass surveillance from a little guy called Snowden? Thank fucking God we did not have a stupid bullshit law like this a few years ago, because you can bet your ass people were very interested in keeping that info away from the public.

Nobody should be in control of what can and can't be talked about. This could even lead to news sites not reporting on this that are true, because they might be worried someone will create evidence against it and that could result in it being classified as a lie and all of a sudden they can be shut down despite reporting the truth.

People have disagreements about what is and isn't true all the time, often with both sides having evidence to support their belief. If you had an all knowing, omnipotent and lawful good being oversee this then I would be OK with it, but such a being does not exist. This would be controlled by people who don't know everything, and that has their own agenda.
