I am trying to fix a Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro 1370. The issue that it has is that it will not boot up. When pressing the power, the fan runs and the keyboard lights up, but after 3 seconds or so, it shuts down. The screen remains black and won't even get to the logo screen. I concluded that it was a motherboard issue and eliminated SSD and battery/power issue.
I am thinking about looking for a replacement motherboard on ebay or something and noticed that the CPU/GPU dies are exposed on the board. Is there a recommended thermal paste for laptops that have the die exposed? This is my first time dealing with an exposed die and I'm not sure if using certain thermal pastes would short it out.
