I currently have a Nvidia 970, 7600k processor, 16gb ddr4 ram. I’m thinking about upgrading my screen from a 60hz to a 144hz. As I recently learned that I would need/want g-sync or freesync and the price difference between the two, would it be cheaper to swap 970 for an AMD equivalent and get a free sync monitor, or stay with Nvidia and get a g-sync one? Also is it worth for me to even upgrade from a 60hz monitor?
