  1. The problem is, there is no way for me to boot into an OS. The screen would flash and then go black. Tried with the installation tool and linux
  2. I don't have the hard drive with me, but that isn't a reason not to boot into windows 10 installation tool.
  3. 1. I'm not so sure how to flash the bios, but the bios is Aptio Setup Utility (ver. 2.18.1263) 2017 AMI 2. I would get the same result regardless of running off battery or using external power supply 3. I used multiple flash drives, same results 4. Already done so 5. Out of warranty 6. I'd like to leave this as an absolute last resort option Is there anything else I can do
  4. Laptop: Razer Blade 14 (2017) So, my problem is as the title says, doesn't boot properly. Going more into the problem, the laptop is able to boot into bios but that is pretty much it. I have tried using a usb with Windows 10 Installation media tool on it and still no luck. I have also tried using another usb with Linux Ubuntu and see if it would boot. It did boot for ubuntu, but only into the GRUB menu and wouldn't let me proceed to "try ubuntu or download it". What happens for both of these boot options is the screen would show it is indeed booting into something, then the display would quickly flash (one white line would appear on the screen) and screen goes black. Keyboard still has chroma lighting effects, fans spinning, and display has the backlit lighting. I also don't have any hard drives installed so it is definitely not that. TLDR: Able to boot into bios, but loading any bootable OS from USB results in quick screen flash and going black.
  5. This might be helpful: http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/
  6. I'm sure the gpu fans go off because what you're doing requires the gpu to work a bit harder so the fans would increase in speed in order to cool it more. In this case when you're playing more demanding games the fan would spin faster therefore louder
  7. I wanna make a Hackintosh PC because I have a spare hard drive. Will my specs be compatible? CPU: i5 4690 GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 3GB Motherboard: MSI H81M ECO
  8. Well the title says it, still got a Haswell i5 from 2014. How long can it last before I should upgrade?
