  1. Good points guys, but I can get a 980ti for very cheap on ebay, but a 1070 seems to bit decently more. I might even get a 980, I don't know yet to be honest
  2. Ok, thanks! I think I will get a Ryzen 7 that includes the Wraith Spire, to be honest, I don't mind if I dont get an extra 40fps or whatever, as long as I can get 60fps or more with no freezes on ultra settings on common titles like Fortnite whilst streaming, and play some tougher games like Ark or something! Thanks DrMacintosh ! EDIT: Thank you also Dan, but I think I'll opt for the older gen just for that big price drop whilst losing a bit of performance.
  3. Hello guys, with the supposed release of 11 series soon ( or not, I don't really know ), what is the best card to buy for my new PC? Due to my budget, I intend to buy it used, so should I opt for a 10 series card, like the 1070, or a Maxwell card like the 980ti? I don't know which will be the better option. Also, I can increase my budget at the expense of a second monitor, so I could get a 1080 (but not Ti for sure :D), but is it smart to do so if it is used, and could have a shortened lifespan? Thanks <3
  4. Hello Guys! I am in a dilemma, I intend to stream games like Fortnite, but also want strong ingame frames per second. However, I need to bring price into the equation because of my budget Should I opt for the Ryzen 7 2700X, which gives me a good cooler too, or the i5 8600K with an aftermarket cooler (not i7 8700k because I need to buy another cooler, as well as it being more expensive than the 2700x anyways) or should I opt for an older generation of Ryzen, such as the Ryzen 1700? Thanks
  5. But it really does help, it eliminates alot of stuttering in my games! I'm so stuck!
  6. Hello everyone! I rely on Speedfan in order to control my Fan speeds, but recently, when I use Razer Cortex Boost (which eliminates processes and services), it causes SpeedFan to stop recieving data from temperature sensors or any data from the fans. I don't know which WIndows services SpeedFan relies on, or any solutions to this. Do you guys know any solutions to this, or any alternatives to SpeedFan that might work here? P.S. I did uncheck the SpeedFan process in the Boost config
  7. Hi guys, I don't know whether it is better to get an Air Cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo or CoolerMaster MasterLiquid Pro 120 Liquid Cooler. The Liquid cooler is only a bit more expensive. I intend to use these with a Ryzen 5 2600. Thanks
  8. Hi guys, do you think a gtx 1060 will suffice for two monitors? Not for AAA games or anything, like simulators like Euro Truck SImulator 2 which run fine at Ultra on my current 4gb ram 1050 2gb pc. Thanks
  9. Hi everyone, I am planning to purchase the Ryzen 5 2600, but the product page says its maximum supported ram speed is 2933Mhz. If I purchase a Corsair 8GB 3000Mhz ram stick, will it still be fine? Any sort of underclock for the ram? Thanks as always, Im very new to computers
  10. Hello Friends, I am in a dilemma I have a very old motherboard, its this one [HERE] Basically, I already have a fan splitter on the SYS_FAN that uses 2x Novonest White LED fans, that are 0.23W at 12V each so a combined ampere of 0.46W On the CPU FAN header, I have an Arctic Alpine 11 Rev 2, which is at 0.16W. I have ordered a Corsair AF140 silent edition, which is a 0.1A fan at 7/12V, and another fan splitter. I cannot buy anymore as of this moment, should I use the splitter on the existing splitter, so I get 3 fans out of that one SYS header, so it has a combined rated ampere of 0.56W, or use the splitter on the cpu header so it has a rated ampere of 0.26W? I'm happy to clarify any details, thanks very much!
  11. Alright guys, this community is amazing and thank you all for your great feedback, and the speed DAMN! literally 10 comments or whatever in like 10 minutes thank you all so much! Albeit a bit late, I wish you all a great 2018! And mok, you are right, it is so LOUD! The only issue is that the cpu fan connector is stuck, and I'll probably have to carefully pry it out, and my motherboard backplate doesn't let me use the plastic push pins so I have to use a screw in cooler, which I cannot find anywhere!
  12. OK, I would really appreciate any more support and advice, and yeah I see actually FanFromDarlo on ebay loads of cheap PCs. I'll be honest, I have a GTX 1050 and some other nice components, but I have never changed my cpu or motherboard or ram, I know this is a horrible bottleneck but its actually worked out pretty well as Rocket League andmy simulator games run max settings on 60fps +, but I don't play these anymore and a cpu upgrade is very necessarily right now, I plan to buy a cheap refurbished PC that has a i7-4700 (or something) and 16GB of ram and put my 1050 into it, but probably later this year as I am on such a low budget due to Christmas!
  13. I know, I have already got plans to do this, but , this is such a cheap upgrade as its only like 10 GBP, and its only for the short term. I am certain I want to get the new Core 2 Quad, and just want any predictions I will defo upgrade in the near future, but for now, I only need this sort of upgrade for my very limited games (basically LoL and CSGO )
