  1. There is no room for feelings when conducting a business I'm so disappointed that they gave in to John Bain public blackmail . G2A got so big that being on their front page would be better than on steam front page because of all the crap that you get on steam front page.

I also don't get people's desire to keep steam monopoly on the market . People like John Bain will never understand why people use g2a because when you make so much money a year you don't worry about your monthly rent or bills . You can't even sell your game when you done with it , I don't see people caring that someone sold a stolen PC on eBay , or sold their components when they are done with them , AMD /Intel / Nvidia is also loosing sales , so why can't some buy a cheaper game from Russia / China or from those 50c/1$ deals that Nvidia/amd makes with publishers ?

I've never used G2A but I don't understand the crusade , just make good games and you'll make a profit .

Very flamable thread so let's bring some peace. There probably would never have been any wars if religion didn't exist. Sorry but it is true.

so true : raids  on villages for rape and goods would have never happened ,Roman Empire would have never existed, the ottoman empire would have never existed, german reich would have never existed, soviet union would have never existed, also communism wouldn't have persecuted people, because we all know that everyone in the opposition was a religious person

because you know every single war was because of religion

DX12 performance is still pie in the sky for all GPU's out right now.
We don't have a single game that actually fully uses DX12/DX12_1.

A-Sync is only a tiny part of DX12 and AMD lacks conservative rasterization as an example which allows for real time ray tracing of shadows as well as minimal performance impact on voxel based lighting models or voxel based fluid simulation.

    windows-10-launch-directx-12-advanced-ap

tiny part that gives rx 480 20-30% in Doom over gtx 1060

Don't know if troll, or just have no idea what youre talking about, but:

    - HTML is not a programming language whatsoever

    - Valve is going to ban those sites from using "trade" system. Ie. their "bots" or whatever won't be able to send skins to/from in any way.

I mean banning won't even be like super hard since you need (or at least needed) an API key to use the trade system. So as long as they monitor the usage of keys (again, seriously not a big deal) then those gambling sites are screwed.

    @Edit:

Realised some of you think that you can "hide" your api access behind another site. You can't. It just require some steam eployee to have couple of skins, log into web, bet them and check the api usage history within last minute. Guess whose api it will be. ;)

    steam has employers ?:o:o

While that might work in a country with extremely strong gun control laws, where your regular citizen doesn't have a gun, nor do they carry one around for self defence.

But that would never work in America. Some dude tries to mug you with a knife, and you shoot him in self defence (legal in the US), you'd be "disintegrated"? I think the gun carrying population of the US would like that even less than gun control laws :P

Not to mention that it's basically a fantasy. What technology exists to make that even remotely feasible or practical?

i'm expecting for the U.S. government to push military drones with every mass shooting, there will be many against at first, but slowly the majority will cave in to fear and want safety ; it will be probably controlled by a human at first and then later on the decisions will be made by the AI.

i'm not expecting stuff like city defense system to be put in place any time soon ; but it's something that will be considered to completely eliminate violent "crime"

actually, thats not the main reason game kes get stolen.

"hackers" go onto the dark web and buys stolen credit cards.

They go buy a game on steam or directly from the developer with the stolen card.

Since its not THEIR money, they buy shitloads of these games on someone elses card.

Then they try to use "cash back" to cancel the purchases they made. As they now have the game code, it doesnt matter.

They then go to G2A, sell games at half price, collect money, then steal all the money on the credit card.

nah i think it was some 4chan guy stealing credit cards and selling games on G2A (they can't even cash for 14 days)

FFS, stupid mom. Instead of blaming her kid which she didnt raise properly she blames the company. Its like blaming the chip/card manufacture/seller for gambling, not the casinos and places that are purely designed for gambling.

Valce doesnt have a gambling site nor anything close to it. It's pure sell/buy goods (skins).

I agree with OP. This has very low chance of winning.

didn't* well you need to understand a kid can't just go outside and gamble or buy alchool  (until he gets to the proper age), people are expecting the same restrictions from Valve, but since they've build and incorporated gambling in all their games no one seems to care.

people need to stop thinking steam are the money wolves some people paint them to be. valve GLADLY will make money on trading skins, but there's more things to lose than money when the gambling stuff comes into play.

    --

also.. those 3rd party sites kinda arent gambling, they're pretty much an outright scam hidden as a gambling website. (who knew, gambling websites are scams, amirite?)

    also, this:

every time you go and gamble  or get scammed they just made more money because you go back and buy more keys. Look at how steam is made , they give you levels / cards for making purchases on their platform  (also achievements), very effective techniques to keep a addict on their platform ; it's very naive to think that a company is not all about the money and exploiting their consumers. (especially one that bases their games on gambling/ dopamine )

you know, i feel like this is gonna reach a point where gaben is gonna hop on stage, tell everyone cs:go skins can no longer be traded for money outside of steam for reasons we all know by now, drop the mic, and walk back off stage.

yeah cause he'll ever want to cut his main stream of money, more like he'll go on stage and say that they are incorporating  gambling on steam so that people don't need to go to 3'rd party websites

There are also cases of keys being carded and mass sold on here, the card holders would than charge back and the retailer would face massive amount of charge back fees

This video explains it very well

      Hide contents

based on half -truths , only 200/30,000 fraudulent transactions went through their website, the devs didn't want to cooperate because they knew the truth, and rode the "you should feel bad for us" just before steam summer sale .

the 3'rd party resellers market is huge and yet everyone focuses on G2A .
