  1. Thanks guys I realized SLI bridge is not needed at all, so removed it and mounted one of the cards vertically. Now there is an air gap between bottom and upper cards and it already helped with temps (well at least while I don't have riser to connect 4th card). Also I changed air direction of my fans to blow off air making vacuum inside as it seems logic to dissipate heat pockets, however my suspicion is I need either more powerful fans or I need other case with better airflow at front side...
  2. Greetings Our customer has asked us to build render server, so we did. It has Intel i9-9900k, 64GB DDR4 memory, Asus WS Z390 mobo and 4x Gainward GTX1070 8GB GPUs connected with 4-way SLI adapter. And there is obvious problem - temperatures - which are holding us back. Lowest GPU is coolest one, no problems there. (up to 70 degrees Celcius on Octanebench), however as we go up, temperatures increase and on top card we have ~80 degrees and if we close case then it rises to ~84 degrees and before I added additional case fan on side of CPUs it went even higher. Of course there is an obvious solution for that problem - watercooling. However can we cool down four cards on same reservoir and pump or do we need to build two separate loops? CPU has it's dedicated AIO running, so there is also a problem with lack of mounting space for radiator (we use Thermaltake View 27 case). Also there is a side-mounting possibility in this case so I can mount top card to side to hopefully help with it's temps. However SLI bridge is on the way - is it necessary or can I remove it? Maybe there are some other ways (high amperage fans, other mods) that we could try before ordering four waterblocks and diving inside hell? Thanks guys and greetings from Lithuania!

  4. Hey guys Problem reached my workstation, I bought ASUS Essence STX II back at September for my desk PC. It worked fine, anyway I had few problems from beginning - Ableton only wanted to work on ASIO because on DirectX/MME audio sounded choppy at some points, ASIO worked just fine. Also there is an strange "click" sound (like relays does in cars) every time I boot up system or change sound card settings (like analog output -> digital output). Also, front audio IO doesn't want to work. Molex power is plugged in and card is working fine except of those features. And today, magically, ASIO stopped working, Ableton doesn't really want to reproduce any sound. DirectX/MME is more choppy and has ~20-40ms delay between keystrokes and actual sounds made by synths. What could possibly be wrong beside of drivers (already tried official and mod ones) and connections of card? If I listed to lets say Youtube, sound is just fine, no delays whatsoever. When it comes to Ableton, I'm doomed Plis halp
  5. Ableton will do an trick. I started using it because only at Ableton I've found how to export audio to file (failed to do this at FL)
  6. I would not use PSU which occasionally provides sparks. Consider replacing it
  7. Yep, VisualSVN does that and more Check their website https://www.visualsvn.com/server/download/
  8. My name is Karolis and I am from Lithuania. If you ask yourself "what the hell is Lithuania", there is an explanation for you I'm fairly good at PC fix stuff, also I have knowledge on servers, networking, some programming (Java, C#, PHP). Would be nice to improve my English by any chance too I only try to answer something if I personally had such situation I guess it will be fun here
  9. Temperatuuuuures Your CPU may be frying
  10. Never actually thinked about that Model B+ should be able to run it w/o any problems Just get fairly big memory card if you are planning to place weighty bits of code or files, reposity may grow pretty high over time
  11. In that case check VisualSVN or other alternative If you have PC you don't use, throw an Ubuntu in it and run your own private server There are lots of tutorials and videos how to do it.
  12. You can run your own SVN server if you want your project to be private (if you choose free hosting of Github, source code will be public) Imho functionality you mentioned is available on paid plans.
