Ok that's what I figured saw the new chip thought I might get lucky but is the i5 7500 not worth it? (I will not be overclocking even if the motherboard allows it)

can I use an 8th gen processor in a motherboard that only supports 7th and 6th gen motherboard: b250 pro4 ASRock cpu (I'm looking at) i5 8600k 8th gen cpu (i could use instead) i5 7500 7th gen if it helps the rest of the build (its not competed) motherboard: b250 pro4 ASRock gpu: gtx 1060 3gb power supply: Corsair cx 750m (80 plus bronze certified) ram: ddr4 not sure what speed or size since it as expensive as a cpu case: atx HHD:1 TB SSD: 120gb os: windows pro 64bit heatsink: will be stock
