  1. I just found out that someone else had the same problem as me and the fixed it by booting with one stick of ram, about to try it out to see if it works.
  2. Ok so I tried putting the gpu back in, reseting CMOS, and then connecting it to the monitor through HDMI, and still no luck. Although, the Gpus fans do start up when I first boot up the PC for a while. One thing to note is that I got corsair vengence LED ram, but so far the LED's on the ram sticks have not lit up. Im not sure if this has do to with anything but its worth noting.
  3. no the fans on the gpu dont spin, but I though by default the gtx 1080 fans dont spin unless they reach 60 degrees Celsius or something like that.
  4. My monitor has vga, hdmi, and display port. I didnt use any adaptor because I originally didnt use vga (I tried hdmi and display port). And when I turn my PC on the fans spin normally. I just found the CMOS jumper on by mobo so I will read the mobo manual and figure out how to use this thing.
  5. Your right I dont think my gpu has VGA, when I tested my gpu I used display port and hdmi, but my motherboard does have vga.
  6. Yes I originally tested with the gpu, using vga, hdmi, and display port. Here is a pic of the vga https://gyazo.com/dad72c71c85f8b73615d006d44cd3904
  7. seagate m12II 520w bronze Sorry forgot to put it in the post.
  8. So I just finished building my new pc, I hooked it up to a keyboard mouse, and a monitor through vga, and it wouldnt connect to the monitor. The computer turns on and the fans start blowing, but I cant access the boot menu because the damn thing wont connect to a monitor. I also tried taking out the gpu and connecting it to the motherboard to boot up, but still no luck. Anybody else ever have this problem before when building a new pc or got anything that might help me? Any help is greatly appreciated! 9. Do you think it would be any less efficient?
  10. Ok. I got a an exhaust fan right on top of the case so hopefully it will be fine.
  11. So I just finished installing my Hyper 212 evo Cpu cooler onto my motherboard and I noticed alot of people have it facing toward the RAM (by it I mean the fan), but mine is facing down and will be facing towards the gpu. I do have an exhaust fan on top of my case, so I'm just wondering if I set it up correctly. I would hate to have to go back and redo everything. 12. I got a 31 inch asus 1440p 60hz ips display for watching movies and videos, and another 24 inch 1440p 144hz monitor, and I think its a great setup. Would recommend!
  13. I would say try to get a IPS 144hz monitor, I was in the same spot as you and I had to decide whether I wanted g sync with 1440p 144hz or if I want an IPS panel. Also, I think that with your specs, g sync wont have much effect, especially if you dont notice screen tearing much.
  14. Actually never have before and I do and i do alot of gaming! This isnt a problem either. thank you for you help I think I decided on not worrying about gsync when buying a new monitor!
  15. Do you do much gaming? I heard that g sync is a game changer for some games. I'm not sure if I'm correct though, maybe its not worth the money.
