  1. I have an R5 2600 and an ASUS Prime X470-Pro board. I am using the Realtek audio drivers downloadable from my motherboard's driver/support site. My front panel audio is working, but my rear audio is not. I hear sound for a split second when I first plug the headphones in, but then sound stops altogether. The odd thing is, when I unplug my headphones from the rear, Windows notifies me, but when I unplug my headphones from the front, Windows is silent about it. I am thinking that maybe my sound is still trying to play from my front panel for some reason??
  2. The in-between is worth it, if it is within my budget range. No.
  3. Yeah, the colors will be "fine". That's not what I'm looking for. I also don't need $1000 for a decent monitor in that market
  4. I don't know that it's good practice to recommend lower end 4k or 144Hz displays when you could recommend higher end 1440p panels. I have this set budget and request because I know that, unless I am paying a LOT of money, I will find better picture quality in a 1440p 60Hz monitor for $400 than a 144Hz monitor or even a 4k monitor at a similar price. There is an argument to be made for the resolution, but picture quality really is more than just what resolution your display is, and I am aware of this. I am a picky customer.
  5. Price difference is out of my budget. I'm almost perfectly happy with a 1080p at this point, don't think I'll be getting rid of my 1440p for years
  6. Should I get an IPS display, or something else? I'm looking for a nice 1440p monitor (I game, but 144Hz isn't a must for me as I'd prefer something more affordable anyways) that I can look at without regretting my purchase While this post isn't geared towards recommendations of specific models, I'd happily accept Like, $400 or less.
  7. Thanks folks. Yeah, I figured a cheap generic desk might do the trick, but I wasn't sure because I've never been desk shopping
  8. Are there any good desks you guys can recommend? I can figure that might be an odd question, since I doubt desks are typically the focus point of gamers, but my current desk does not fit my 35" (widescreen) monitor. No general requirements other than that the desk is sturdy and looks ok.
