  1. A while back my USB and bluetooth devices started just disconnecting and reconnecting themselves. This happens very sporadically, sometimes once an hour, sometimes several times a minute. It affects my USB devices (front and back), and my onboard bluetooth. Things I've tried: Power saving profiles off/ maximum performance Selective USB power off Device manager allow computer to turn off device to save power off (both on the hubs and individual devices) New power supply New motherboard Fresh windows install Needless to say I've lost my mind and then some. Could this possibly be an issue with power delivery from the wall? Is there anything I can do to narrow down exactly why they're turning off? My mouse and keyboard are Corsair (K70 RGB Mk. 2 SE, M65 Pro), I've seen some people having issues with Corsair devices and iCUE causing disconnects with USB but I'm not sure how that would be affecting the onboard bluetooth? Thank you for any help or advice you can offer.
  2. Cheap and 1080 60fps don't go hand in hand these days sadly. 1080p at 60fps is honestly just asking too much on your budget. If you can settle with 1080 at 30fps or 720 at 60fps you'd be MUCH better off. That said, I did look on ebay a bit and found: FX6300 (or "quad core" counterpart) GTX 960 4GB 8GB of DDR3 1600MHz. Those parts alone are about $180 so you'd still need a case+fans, PSU, CPU cooler and storage on top of that. Still though, looking around $230-250 which isn't terrible for a GTX 960 build. Alternatively, you can find a used HP/Dell/etc that has that rest of the parts as someone mentioned before, then get the GTX 960 and throw in there. Which might just get you under $200.
  3. Indeed, glad you brought that up. There should be room as I've seen MSI's 3 slot model crammed in there, but we're definitely talking 1 or 2cm clearance at best. Don't think anything will beat that Core X5 in terms of thermals unfortunately lol. As @MaratM mentioned a waterblock (aliexpress / instructions) or the Cooler Master Vertical GPU Mount are probably the best options for that card.
  4. Second the Define R6, that will fit your card, looks great, and has very flexible cooling options.
  5. They're basically the same as Cherry MX Blue switches -albeit cheaper quality. I've an identical keyboard and can say they're definitely not bad for the price! That said they're also the loudest afaik, however they're more tactile for gaming and great for typing on. Here is a link that outlines some of the different colors.
  6. Well if you're willing to sacrifice quality. Ultra settings will get you around 110-130 fps average. Low settings with high textures gets you about 200. So there's definitely some wiggle room. This is the 200fps example I found, he lists his setup in description too. Still looks pretty good, but If you do want ultra you'll want the 1080.
  7. If you want to go Ryzen APU (releases tomorrow) you could do something like below: ASRock AB350 Gaming-ITX ($130) Corsair Dominator DDR4 3200 16GB ($226) Cooler Master Elite 110 Case ($70) Ryzen 5 2400g ($170) WD Blue 1TB 3.5 inch HDD ($50) Silicon Power 120GB SSD ($45) Corsair CX-450M PSU ($60) Corsair Hydro H60 Cooler ($70) Cooler Master 80mm Fan ($6) ----------------------------------- total - - - - - - - - - - - - -$827 (amazon prime) Could easily get under $800 with an mATX board and case. No competitor to discrete graphics, but another option for 1080p none the less.
  8. You're going to want a GTX1070, ASUS has one with a white shroud, MSI has a couple options with white accents. Going to want to pair that with a pretty hefty CPU, using B350 or X370 chipsets for AMD or Z270/Z370 for Intel. This sort of build would be just a tad overkill in the CPU department, but I prefer headroom personally. Could easily get by with a Z270 chipset offering. Case ~$85 - NZXT S340 Elite Mobo ~$250 - NZXT N7 370 CPU ~$230 - Intel i7 8600k RAM ~$166 - Team T-Force Dark GPU $??? - ASUS Dual GEFORCE GTX 1070 8GB OC Storage ~$120 - 120GB NVMe + 2TB HDD PSU ~$74 - RM550x $925 without the GPU so might want to go without NVMe, and can probably find a cheaper CPU/mobo pairing.
  9. Haha no it certainly is not, pretty much just wanted better frames than I was getting during beta. That was more or less just why I threw in the old PSU for now and got a tower cooler.
  10. Here it is...... for better or for worse!!! Specs: Ryzen 5 1600x MSI B350M Mortar Arctic MSI RX470 Armor 4GB OC Ballistix Sport DDR4 2400 8GB Arctic Freezer 33 eSports One 4x Rosewill 120mm -intake 1x Corsair LL120 -exhaust EVGA 450w Bronze Corsair Force 250GB NVMe 2x 5400 2.5 HDD So with Sea of Thieves right around the corner I wanted to push my build a little further -the board and NVMe for load times, and the CPU to prevent any bottlenecks which were caused by the former FX6300. Needless to say I took a couple shortcuts! Mostly because I already owned some parts and wanted to get it running ASAP! Currently I'm looking to get: 4 more LL120 Fans painted white 1 more Arctic BioniX fan .... for symmetry! Barracuda 4TB 3.5" 2x Samsung 2.5 SSD -size tbd 3 more sticks of DDR4, 1 white, 2 gray. White Corsair RM750x and what tempered glass case would be complete without an RGB strip! With a WiFi controller to make it music reactive... of course. I realize the irony in "budget build" as I'm going to invest twice the money into it over the coming year but it's budget until I do so! Anyways let me know what you think, what would you change or upgrade upon? Also looking for white keyboard suggestions, preferably premium. I like Corsair's white model but I'm not going to pay the crazy prices to have one imported, so far going with the Razer Mercury edition.
  11. Wonder if Linus has seen Mini PCI-E SD adapters. We might need a sequel to this video!
  12. Thanks again for the suggestion. If the 12 is barely passable with OC in mind I might just go for the 33 eSports One so I don't gotta stare at them ugly copper pipes lol, but I'll certainly compare the 3 before committing.
  13. I'll definitely stick to a tower cooler then, thank you for the info -still self learning about cooling solutions. Also thanks for the heads up about the quotes.
  14. That looks pretty good! Can't seem to find anywhere to buy it in the USA unfortunately. One of the international sites have worldwide shipping but would cost more than the fan itself lol. Thank you though!
  15. Hey everyone, my current build is: Ryzen 1600x Compact mATX Tower (inwin 301c) 2x 120mm "front" intakes 2x 120mm bottom intakes 1x 120mm rear exhaust My options due to price and personal preference are the Alpine 64 Plus or the Freezer 12 . Looking sub $20 and white or partially white if you know of others. Using an RX470 so generally not generating a lot of heat in the case, ~80C is the absolute worst I've seen it with a similar airflow setup. The question I have is would the Alpine keep it cool enough while gaming endlessly? Or is the Freezer a safer bet? Thanks for any advice.
