  1. I have the rooms of my house wired back to a patch panel in the center of my basement. All the network components include on the rack are a modem, wired router, switch, and NAS. I'm running Open-WRT on an old wifi router to make it the AP & have that outside the network closet but it's constantly going out & has to be restarted. The property coverage also isn't great. I'm considering this & running it in AP mode but I don't think they support POE & that would make 1 planed location challenging. I just think that there would be a better option I'm not aware of. Thanks https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B084GTH5LL
  2. I think you may have misunderstood my post. I already have CAT5 and Cat6 ran in my house & garage. I'm looking for a mesh Network to get better coverage in my house, garage, & yard without having to switch which access point I'm connected to. As for burying cable further out in my property, that isn't an option. I am surrounded by farmland with no fences and my yard gets tilled for a garden regularly.
  3. Thank you. I'll look into those options at lunch time. btw, If you are interested, looking near the beginning of a long Amazon link you will see /ref. Everything in front of the / is the actual product listing and everything after it is the metadata associated with your account and your search term. You can delete all that if you want shorter links. I put the cursor at the /ref, hit enter to separate it, then select it & delete.
  4. I'm wanting to install a mesh Network for my property. I spend a large amount of my time in my workshop or out back off my house. I would like to be able to connect as far back as possible but I know the connecting devices would likely be the limiting factor. My property is just over 100x50 yards (91x46M) long with the house setback 70 feet (21M) & the house is 45 feet (13M) long. I don't game over wifi & prefer the option to go PoE if I put it in certain locations. Tight budget at around $200 US Current Network: Wired - Ubiquiti Edge router in a closet with a patch panel & 2, 8 port switches, Cat 5/6 throughout the house & garage. Wifi - old TP-Link wifi router in AP mode & a Ubiquiti outdoor directional antenna. I was considering the TP-Link Deco X20, with the satellites wired to the front & back of my house & 1 in the back of my garage. The problem with this option is it doesn't support PoE. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
  5. Is there a way to know if a Mobo supports a 4 pole 3.5mm jack? You know, without buying a motherboard and trying it? Looking on Mobo sites, and finding nothing. Is it a standard thing the way phones are or no?
  6. I have the Razer Man'O War wired headset and it's too late to return them. Does anyone know where to find a teardown for this headset? I've been looking all over and can't find one or any advice on doing so. The big thing I am looking to change is converting these into an open back headset. They work wonderfully at blocking out background noise but unfortunately my son and I game in the same room and talk to each other all the time. We use Teamspeak with other friends, but often we want talk to just each other while still on TS. For this he either has to yell or I have to push an ear cup back. The outside of the ear cup is mesh looking, so if I can take it apart, I should be able to remove whatever is closing them off, or drill it out.
  7. Thanks for the read. I'm an audio noob. Could you or someone else please make a thread about what makes headphones better for music, gaming, or theater? What to look for in specs, etc.
  8. It looks to me like these maybe basically the same, or at least try to do the same thing. I haven't tried either, as I only have a b350 board & I just haven't dropped the $60 for Fuzedrive. Does anyone else know? Do they benchmark the same? Perhaps this could be a LTT video.
  9. FuzeDrive for RYZEN http://www.enmotus.com/amd It makes all of your drives appear as 1 drive to the OS & migrates frequently used data to faster drives like a hybrid drive. The best part is that you don't have to reformat to use it. I think I want to buy this, but I want an honest review of it first.
  10. They are know for making you more than whole. If they just replace it, you would think they are an OK company, but you did have to deal with the RMA, so would you recommend them? Maybe or maybe not. They give you a free upgrade for your inconvenience & you will be loyal, singing their praises. I know I have.
