Youll be tuning  it a bit voltage wise to get it to be manageable for thermals and power. The better board allows you to actually do most of the tuning, the lower boards lock out certain features, as is the intel tax. Just make sure that board has BIOS FLASH on the IO panel (where the USBs are).

That is pretty rough then for PSU stuff. If you are deadset on the case then so be it, but id def consider changing it if you are that limited.

DDR5 price has come crashing down to normal pricing. Its affordable now. Yes its worth it. Especially when its not all that much more now, before it made 0 sense since DDR5 was 240$+ but now its under 100$ for 32 GB.

PSU is indeed ATX 3.0, but we have had almost a year and many more PSU's with ATX 3.0 have come out. There are plenty more choices and they are better priced than that one.  Theres even a 850W Platinum Silverstone HELA for cheaper (Albiet 10$) or Thermaltakes Toughpower 850W Gold with ATX 3.0 for 160$ AUS https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/hCGbt6/thermaltake-toughpower-gf3-tt-premium-750-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-ps-tpd-0750fnfagu-4

Power cable stuff is hard to say, NVIDIA may use a new improved 12v connector, and thus for 5000 series and beyond youll have to get a new PSU again if the adapters dont work well. But honestly by that time you may already be upgrading to a new system (RTX 5000 is 2025, so RTX 6000 is probably 2028ish with 3 year cycles going forward)

For that price you might as well, you'll probably make back most of the cost on the 1050 Ti alone. It'll be a ~$20-30 upgrade most likely, and at that point you might as well give it a shot.

Yes! The 1070 is a BEAST of a card for that kind of money. It's a huge improvement over the 1050.

without a doubt, youll need 16gb and an i7 for that kind of editing. 16gb should be the minimum, and 8gb will get you nowhere.  Ram is a bit more important than processor as you can kinda sorda get away with an i5, but both are valuable. Try your best to get a laptop with both.

Undervolting doesnt effect performance, rather it just helps with keeping tempertures lower.

I wouldn't recommend macbooks btw as theyr overpriced, have keyboard issues and can be very expensive to repair. zenbooks seem to be a good option. just make sure everything works when you get it and edit a quick video while watching the temps. Asus doesnt have the best reliability either.

Chose 580 8gb over 1060 6gb because it's slightly more powerful (fight me fanbois) and has support for Freesync for a cheap high-refresh-rate monitor like this AOC one :  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BV1XBEI/?tag=pcpapi-20.
R5 1400 and 16gb of RAM vs 1600 and 8gb of RAM is because 8GB isn't really enough anymore and the 2 less cores don't really matter for gaming.

    RAM is in pre-order status
No need for an extra cooler, the stock one will do
Larger capacity SSD that also performs better
    Improved the PSU choice
This WiFi adapter gets good reviews despite lacking a large antenna
1060 3gb will smash the 1050ti in 99% of things

Ryzen isnt as good as Intel at games. It's even better in editing videos because of more CPU cores for CPUs of the same price. What it isnt as good is gaming, but since you can get a higher end Ryzen for the same price as Intel, it would still be better

You will need a B350 mobo though. Dont go for MSI ones unless it is a high end model that's cheap. RAM compatibility is a problem for Ryzen (though mostly sloved), but it is still annoying for MSI's mobo specifically.

Cheap Sliverstone PSUs usually arent good.

Can you use au.pcpartpicker instead? It groups prices from many different sites so it might be cheaper that way

    Everything looks good!

You may want more ram down the road though. Newer games like PUBG like to use a lot of RAM. 8GB may not be enough.

I noticed you dont have a storage drive though. Only a 240GB SSD.

You will definitely want to buy a second internal HDD to store your large files.

For gaming, you'll want to spend more of the budget on the GPU. Don't get Kaby, either get Coffee or Ryzen. If you want WiFi, you'll have to add an adapter. Some motherboards have it built in, but those are the higher end ones.
You'll probably want a HDD for mass storage; 250GB gets filled up quite fast.
Buy from wherever the parts are cheapest, not just from a single store.
A Ryzen 1200 will roughly equal a quad core I5, and for gaming, it'll make little to no difference. The GPU is more important, and that's an RX 580, which performs much better than the 1050 Ti.
