So... My 6-year-old daughter is somehow still alive after throwing a hard toy at my 12-year-old son's Dell 27" 1080p 75Hz monitor. His birthday is coming up in May so we were looking to upgrade him anyway, but now the timetable has obviously moved up.
So, we're looking to pick him up a new monitor. Here's the requirements:
27"
1440p
IPS panel (you'll have to do a lot of work to convince me to get him a VA panel and TN can DIAF)
144Hz+ (he has a 3060Ti from the Asus TUF series, so he should do OK in the games he plays)
$400ish or less (preferably less, and I understand perfection will not be had for that price range)
Optional:
RGB
Height adjust
Things that aren't important at all even if they're cool:
HDR
local dimming
We were thinking about the Pixio PX277 Pro that @Plouffe did a ShortCircuit about, but that's not shipping 'til the end of next month.
So, any recommendations? Please tell me why you make whatever recommendation you make.
Thanks!
