  1. Are there any tools that allows us to benchmark the timeline playback performance in Premiere Pro? I saw Linus' video about the RED Rocket graphics card: and I want to know what tool he used to display all that FPS and dropped frames. Does anyone have any clue what he used? or any other benchmarking tool that allows me to use my own video file? Puget System's pugetbench doesn't allow me to use my own file so...
  2. I've seen recent videos with IE80s box in it and in the recent stream 'Let's Fix Our Click Bait Titles - GoXLR Showcase', he was using IE80s the whole time I've only seen few reviews about IE80s and there are no much positive reviews What is the advantage of buying IE80s over IE80? What sort of improvement do you get from upgrading to IE80s? What is the downside?
  3. What colour carbon fibre skin would you put on a 2013 macbook pro? What is your preference? I want pictures if anyone has them. I'm liking the white, grey and black carbon fibre so far
  4. Yeah 2016 Titan. The specs of them are almost identical. If you were to do some kind of 3d animation or video work ,which one would you go for?
  5. I want to have some opinion from X1A users I am looking for a new DAP and I came across Pioneer XDP-300R and Onkyo DP-X1A I am leaning towards buying X1A but I'm seeing number of reviews talking about their battery life. How long exactly can I expect from this device with Wifi on/off, and standalone feature on/off? Also I hear a lot of good things about the sound quality as well. I use IE80 and mostly listen to orchestra and piano musics. How does X1A sound compared to the competitors? And the reason I want to get a new DAC is because my 200GB SD card is almost full and I wanted something that allows me to store more songs Thanks
  6. Alright, thanks. I will take your advice and go for the Z390 platform. You've got an insane workstation BTW?. Do they have any problems so far (in terms of performance)?
  7. So my main use for it is video rendering, 3d animation, CAD, and some AI works. I bet these workloads will benefit from higher core counts, but X series only goes upto I think 18 cores. However, I would also consider the HEDT lineup for their higher clock speeds. I honestly don't know if I should put more money into core count or clock speed?. Your opinion?
  8. My bad, I forgot to specify, I barely do gaming, I just do it once a month or something, my primary use is not gaming so. I also watched his video about gaming on Xeons, but I don't really care because if I were to go with X series processor with same number of cores + motherboard, it will cost the same or even higher that this option. I looked into 9900K and i7 7820X, and they cost more than this Xeon
  9. I know its a weird CPU? So I was looking at Lenovo's Thinkstation lineup, and I think it was P720 and P920, that had a LGA3647 socket with this CPU inside. Then I thought it would be cheaper if I built this workstation myself, so I was looking at LGA3647 CPUs. They also support dual socket so I thought it will be a good futureproofing, because I'm not planning to buy a new computer in next 5,6, or even 7 years, just internal upgrades.
  10. Simple question, is 3.00Ghz enough to do any games, rendering etc...? Entry level Xeon Silver 4110 is pretty cheap right now, and the turbo-boost of this processor is 3.00Ghz What sort of bottleneck will you experience? What is a recommended graphics card for this CPU?
  11. I mainly want to know about the disadvantages of buying Supermicro motherboards I am aware that the costs are higher than consumer boards but are there any other disadvantages? Like long POST time etc... I'm specifically looking at Xeon Scalable compatible dual socket ones. Asus also has some offerings for Xeon Scalables, are they better in any ways? The reason I came up with this question is because I was looking at Lenovo's P720 and P920 workstations and the prices looked pretty good for for the components you're getting. Can the quality of the prebuilt's motherboard be better or worse than a normal motherboard you normally buy? I see than Lenovo is using its original motherboard
  12. Thanks for clarification Teradek and Came-TV's wireless solution looked like the one that I wanted
  13. Is there a wireless solution though? I need to send a signal to the control room at the top of the seats from the stage Thanks for your suggestion though
