    Like everyone else here is saying Valve makes some great games with minimum power needed to run. Another good way is to look for indie games on steam because you will find games that are Innovative, multi-platform, cheap, and have a low resource requirement.

    The only thing you really save your time from doing is plugging in your hard drive, storage, and doing case wiring.

    Even though I'm an NVIDA fan boy I'll have to say go withe the R9 280. Better cost to performance.

    CPUs don't have drivers(I don't think so atleast) As for the motherboard, unless there is some problem you need fixed or some improvement you need you can probably stay away from it.

    You're right, that would be even better. As an owner of the Surface Pro 3 I would really appreciate companies like Nvidia or AMD making more small form factor chips for tablets.

    The way intel has been moving I'm starting to hope that full fledged games will work well in tablets.

    What resolution is the tv? My LG smart tv is 1080p. The 970 should be more than enough for 1080p gaming.

    Not if it's the same resolution as what you have right now.

    It probably isn't affecting game performance much but if you want to record, render, or stream then you will take advantage of the newer cpu.

    Honestly, like above I think you should just rebuild from scratch. It really is hard to get some good performance once something gets so old.

    You should probably get rid of that. Temporary Files generally aren't important.
