  1. Hey Guys, I have a Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I wireless card that I've been having a little trouble with. Whenever I put it in a PCIE x1 slot on my MSI X370 SLI motherboard with a Ryzen 3 1200, the board will not recognize it. However, if I put it in a PCIE x16 slot, it works just fine. It's not the end of the world because I have 2 extra PCIE x16 slots that I can use for it, but it would be nice to know why the PCIE x1 slots aren't working. I'm not sure if there's a setting in the bios that I'm missing or what. Any help is appreciated!
  2. That's what i was expecting to hear, unfortunately. I appreciate the help.
  3. 1. By older I meant one that is supported by the motherboard's current bios. In this case that would be an AMD Athlon X4 950. 2. The CPU LED indicates that the cpu is either not detected or failing. Unless this motherboard has the latest bios update, it doesn't support Ryzen 3. 3. See above 4. Gotcha 5. No. Nothing loads. It's not the problem of the cpu. It's that the motherboard bios isn't updated to detect the cpu.
  4. The build I'm working on consists of a Ryzen 3 1200 and the MSI B350M Pro-vdh. The CPU led is on when I try to boot which leads me to believe that I have to update the bios in order for it to work. I don't have an older cpu to do this with, but I found one person who claimed to have simply put the updated bios on a flash drive and plugged it in. Everything else I've read makes it seem like this person is lying, but I'm willing to try it before I go and spend $50 on the cheapest supported cpu. Is there any risk in trying it? Obviously I don't want to brick my motherboard.
