  1. Thanks for the informative answers! Saves me a lot of trouble. I tried the find a retailer, but it only brings me to websites in my area that sells Corsair products but not assecories/cables. I did come across this one tho which states its 24pin type 4 gen 3. What do you guys think? Model: CP-8920163 https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-|-Parts/PC-Components/Power-Supplies/premium-individually-sleeved-atx-24-pin-cable-type-4-generation-3-config/p/CP-8920163
  2. I recently bought a used RM550x Corsair PSU without a 24pin cable thinking it would be easy to get a hold of a new one. Turns out its not. I've come across this cable (CP-8920076) and wonder: Will this work/fit/support my PSU? The sellers website says it supports CORSAIR AX760, AX860 . I havent managed to come across one the spesifically states: Supports RM-series PSU's... Thanks in advance!
  3. Thank you for trying! I too hope someone else might have a tip or solution. So far I'm concerned its a dead mobo. How I dont know.
  4. Yes, I just made sure the pressure was good. Also just reseated the cooler. Only components I'll be able to test is the GPU and PSU. Dont have a spare motherboard for the CPU. I just find it wierd since it worked 2h ago...?
  5. Just did. Still nothing. I also check the CPU for bent pins, and it’s all good.
  6. My PC wont turn back on after I shut it down and left it off for 2h. I have checked the voltages on my PSU and all the numbers are ok. My motherboard won't respond to my cases power button or when I try to short it with a screwdriver. However, the green led still light in the upper right corner lights up when I turn on my PSU. I'm trying to convert a HP G1 800 SFF to a different case and use a different PSU to power a GPU. Everything's been working fine until now. I'm using an adapter with the 24pin cable (see pic) which has been working fine. I tried using the original PSU with the mobo and still nothing. Not sure what to do.
  7. Yeah, you were right. I actually got to test the RAM and the machine gave a one "BEEP" sound, indicating there was a memory issue. Thanks for the recomendation and the informative answer!
  8. I recently bought a HP G1 800 SFF PC and wanted to add some RAM. Can I add these HyperX RAM sticks to the PC? (See attached files. I've also added screenshot from the PC's manual about memory). Thanks in advance.
  9. This is the PC specs (i5 version): https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03832938 and the new RAM specs
  10. I recently bought a HP G1 800 SFF desktop and I’ve planned to do some upgrades to it. One of them is adding more RAM. Currently running Crucial memory at 1600mhz 2x4GB DDR3 non-ECC. Today I bought a pair of 2x4GB Hyperx RAM (attached file). It’s 1866mhz RAM (ish, I know it’s above 1800 for sure) with CL10, non-ECC. When I plug these in a long with the other RAM the pc gives a loud single beep sound and no post. I’ve tried to check if it could be a timing issue with the mobo but can’t find any info. ive also tried putting only a single a lot in at a time with no different outcome. Any suggestions?
  11. - Yea, same thing with or without it plugged in - Yes. The sound doesnt show up when the headphones are directly connected to the PC. Only through the mixer. Same with my mixer, and I use my mixer daily. Note: We've now tried with mixer software update as well. No change.
  12. Not feedback. Just random distortion Mic is playing fine with no distortion. We've tested with my mixer (AG03) and the same thing happens to it as well. Doesnt seem to be a mixer issue. Mixer is brand new. 2 weeks old or something. You can see it (white box) in the video. PC's on the floor, so its standing alone between his 2 monitors.
  13. I recently build my brother in-law's first gaming PC. He's a musician too, so he has a mixer (Yamaha AG06) that his mic and headphones are connected to. The issue is that when he has his speakers (headphones or normal speakers) connected to the PC, the sounds get really staticy every 30sec. This problem doesnt happen if he connects his headphones the if he connects them directly to the PC via AUX. I've attached a vid of it happening that he sent over to me. So far we've tried: Windows Update Every update there is to be downloaded from the motherboards website. (Asrock) (https://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/h81 pro btc/) Thought about updating the BIOS, but not sure yet. System specs: i5-4400 RX 570 4GB Mobo: Asrock H81 Pro BTC 8GB RAM 400W PSU All help is appreciated! video-1597686104.mp4
  14. To be honest I don't know the price. I've always had an expensive taste in hardware, which I think many can relate to, so I'm not supprised it is
  15. So I've been trying to re-watch a bunch of the review-vids LTT has made on different types of VR-headsets to try and figure out which headset would suit me the best. Costs is ofcourse a BIG factor as the range of prices on these headsets varies a lot. So far what I've figured out is that I really like the Valve Index's controllers (I think), but the headset isnt avaiable where I live, so I've gotta look for something else. What would be you guys' recomendations?
  16. In the new apartment my wife and I moved in to have this ceiling lamp installed. It’s been censor activated but we’ve never figured out where the censor actually is or what kind of censor it is. Few months ago the lamp stopped turning on, so we assume it’s defect of something. But we don’t know how to swap the LED’s or if that’s what’s needed at all. Didn’t really know if this was a topic for the forum, but I took a chance on it.
  17. I'm quite new to servers, but I've set up a Rust server from my PC. The day before I got my wifi change from broadband to fiber I managed to open the needed ports to allow my friends to join my server. After the change of Wifi I can't seem to get the ports open anymore. I've followed every turtorial there is it feels like. Here's what I've done: - Set up Port forwarding in my router (see image attached). There's one menu where I can add Port Forwarding under the "Network section", and there's one where I can add directly to the spesific conected device.I've added the same port forward command both places. - Made a new rule in Windows firewall for the spesific port I want open, in this case: 28015. - I've made my IP static. - I've tried to see if the server is possible to connect to if I turn my Firewalls off. No change. - I've contacted my ISP with them telling me there's really nothing they know or can do about it - tried enabling DMZ with "Host IP adress" being my computers IPv4 adress while also having selected my PC as host from the drop down menu. I've contaced my ISP again to ask if they can figure out if the firewall in the router are blocking any ports. They're not allowing me to do anything about the firewall through the router controllers. They said they'll come back to my about that. I'm also wondering why my SIP keeps loading? Is the ISP relevant to getting the server online and accessable for others? All help is appreciated! In advance: Thank you!
  18. Is there such thing as a DisplayPort to DVI Dual Link 144hz Cable? I only found an old thread saying the only thing to find is one at 100USD, but I'm hoping that's changed now? If you know of one please tell me. I have a 144hz monitor with no DP input and the new graphics cards doesnt have DVI anymore
  19. I used to be all Apple, now I've swapped most of it and am only left with an iphone, but I do really miss the ecosystem. Mainly the fluent synchronization, being able to text and call from my PC/laptop and etc. Will Windows ever get something similar? Cause I think many chooses Apple plainly and mainly cause of it. (I did watch Linus' video about 10 ways apple is better).
  20. I've been searching my motherboards manual up and down without finding anything? Can someone please help me? I've got 1 stick right now, but gonna have 2 next week. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/PRIME-X570-P/HelpDesk/ Thank you!
  21. So when I started this a couple weeks ago I didn’t have in mind to build a wooden test bench, but since I didn’t have the tools to weld pieces apart from the case, I decided to build a wooden bench with some inspiration from YouTube. I’m quite happy about how it turned out in the end and it’s functionality, though it’s not finished yet as I’m gonna drill holes for the cables to go through and the power button will be drilled to the wood. Just need the tools first
  22. A friend of mine is having some issues with his work-PC (laptop). He's using programs such as Solidworks, Vray, Sketchup and Unreal engine. While using these his PC is slow and crashes a lot. It has a i7-6700hq CPU, 16GB Ram, GTX 970 (or better cant remember correctly). What I'm asking is this: What would be the best hardware to put together for a PC to run all these applications smoothly? What should be a priority hardware wise? Recomendations for a "budget build" and a "ultimate build" is apprecitated.
  23. So I tried to google around a little after watching Linus 30dollar Test Bench. I even tried to order from Taobao, but they dont seem to send it to Norway, based on what I understood of Google translates translation. I got kind of annoyed since I didnt want to spend 30+ dollars on what litteraly is a a piece of accrylic with a few screws from Aliexpress... I decided then that I will take on this project of building my own Test Bench. I started last night trying to take my old PC case (Corsair Carbide 270R) apart and see how I can do this. Thanks to Luke's video of when him doing the same thing, for the tip of using a drill to remove rivots. I used 2h last night trying to remove by hand which eneded up giving me some water blisters in my hand.. So far this is where I'm at. I'll post the final result when I get there
  24. I have a pair of DT 990’s and I wanna pair them with a sound card but not sure if I should go for an external solution or internal. My father in law might be able to fix me a good external sound card, but would I be better off getting an internal one meant for gaming since that’s mostly what I’ll use the DT’s with?
  25. I've been looking around on forums for an answer to this: is soundcards dead for music and gaming? Have motherboards and headsets gotten so good that you dont need a PCIe soundcard or similar anymore? Or is it still good/an upgrade if you want better gaming audio, etc? Say: using a DT990 headset. No surround so or anything, would it be necessary?
