  1. Thank you sooo much! I'm probably gonna buy a kit like that and try. I'll post in this topic in the future to tell which model I found and how it worked, in case anybody will need infos for a similar problem
  2. Hi everyone. Basically I run a small windows (not the o.s. ) company and we moved to a new place. For some reason I needed my i.s.p. to bring connectivity (phone and internet) on the second floor, on the right side of the building : they said they could bring it only on the first floor, on the left side of the building. Awesome, thank you very much. So now for the Internet access I have a ~ 40meters cat 6 cable that gives me access where I needed it, coming into a switch to split into my pcs, printers and stuff. I thought for the phone i could simply buy a base+3 wireless devices and connect. I was wrong, it worked for a period but now for some reason it will just give me problems really often. Now, given that at the moment it would be really really unpleasant to put a new 40meters cable for the phone, I'm looking for : - a device for the first floor that has an rj41 input to get analogic phone calls and an rj45 ouput to make them travel through my existing internet cable (it has to act as a network device, it can't get the cable just for itself as that is currently used for my internet already!) - a phone with rj45 plug I can connect to the network on the second floor Is it possible to do so? Thanks anybody

    Cheap tube amp

Thanks for all the suggestions! Well, I have news. I started watching some of youtube videos about cheap tube amps comparison etc. etc., to find out that a lot of those models have tubes in it... and that's it. They don't do anything, just cosmetics. So I checked about this model, and found a cool guy who retro engineered this amp ( here the video if you want to watch it ). Making the story short, the tubes here are linked and actually do something, but not the amp job. Basically inside there is a pretty standard op-amp which does the job, and the tubes are there to create some distortion effect (which someone find enjoable too). So ye, it's an AMP with valves, but not a VALVE AMP, awesome stuff That video will explain better than me for sure. So all right, at first chance I'll probably get a Schiit Vali 2 or Valhalla 2 depending on my budget

    Cheap tube amp

So, I'm finally getting a pair of decent headphones (Sennheiser HD 6XX, MassDrop running in this moment) While I'll surely one day buy a decent DAC + AMP combo, at the moment I'll just keep feeding it from my pc integrated audio card (Realtek ALC889A, which is meh) The thing is that I'm really curious about tube sound. I found on the web that this € 40,00 tube amp is not that bad for the price : NobSound NS-08E. What do you think? Also I found that a user changed the valves with a couple of E180F (€ 9 for a pair) and got great improvements. Is this wasted money or should I try?

    Headset choice

Thanks for your suggestions, will look into both M40X and the AKG 700 series! Yes, I'm going off the integrated audio card of my EX58-UD5 Gigabyte's mobo, I also considered to buy a soundcard or anything for a better result, but it would probably get too expensive for something I won't even be able to appreciate like an audiophile would. I looked at Asus Xonar Essence STU but... meh Will look at Z reviews too, thanks

    Headset choice

So, I'm a Siberia V2 user and apparently my headset won't survive much more. I'd like to buy a new headset and I kinda heed help. I used to play a lot of fps but now I don't care anymore about hearing steps or anything particoular, I probably now need a non-gaming headset to listen mainly music or play casual games. I read expert people doesn't really like the Siberia V2 sound, but I appreciate a slighty stronger bass so to my not-expert ears they sound really good. I looked around the web and at the moment I'm looking at "Audio Technica Pro ATH-M50X" to eventually add a ModMic v4, am I close to make a bad choice? What alternatives should I consider? Also I really want the possibility to substitute the cable without soldering stuff like this headset thanks in advance to anybody willing to help me!
