Hey everyone, Lately I've been interested in making my own drawings and even try out animation. Seeing I'm new I wanted to ask some people in this profession for advice. I'm not super good at drawing. Will this stop me from making fun animations or drawings? I've looked into getting a tablet. The one that suits my budget is: http://www.wacom.com/en-us/products/pen-tablets/intuos-art I'm able to get the small model for €89,- here in the Netherlands. The medium sizes model is €189,- Will the small tablet have any impact on my starting out? Hope this is the right place to ask. I'm quite exited to try this as I always loved making this my job one day.

Seems I haven't updated my specs. Let me do that right now. I'm using a 1070 FTW btw. So far I haven't had any issues like with games. I only have what I said in my post.

Greetings, For the past couple of days I've been encountering some issues with Chrome and especially YouTube videos. Each time I open a YouTube video in a separate Chrome tab, and then go there to watch it, the video won't play. It stays at 0:00 and just has the YouTube loading animation. By refreshing the tab I'm able to watch the video. In other cases my whole Chrome simply freezes. When it finally responds again my YouTube video turned completely green. Again, refreshing solves the problem. The issues happened after installing the latest Nvidia drivers. The one before they released the hotfix. I did a rollback by removing it with DDU and installing the september release of 372.00. Even still I get the issues. Disabling Hardware Acceleration in Chrome solves the problem. Has anybody else had this problem? Is the issue related to Chrome or Nvidia? Does anyone have a solution besides disabling Hardware Acceleration?

I noticed when browsing Facebook. I wanted to chat with someone, so I went to the bottom right search bar unable to click anywhere. Then on the desktop I noticed there being some kind of invisible menu that gave me an context option. Does anyone know what this might be caused by? It isn't from Google Chrome. My brother has a issue. He changed the My pictures folder in c:\blabla\name\ to the external D:\. Just D:\. Now the folder is gone from c:\blabla\name\ and we would like to restore it.

You mean the OC done by EVGA, or the 80Mhz OC?

I've been spending my time today trying to overclock my EVGA GTX 1070 FTW. The problem is that 3DMark crashes, but Heaven doesn't. I was able to get 110Mhz on the core when running Heaven. When I ran 3Dmark it would crash after a couple of seconds. Putting it at 80Mhz made it stable. Another thing that I have issues with is: How do I spot tiny artifacts? I've been spending most of my time looking at a screen intensely just to spot problems. Right now I'm falling more towards the side of: Put it back to stock. 80Mhz doesn't seem much really?

Do I need to increase voltage from 0% to 100%? Jay2Cents did this.

I'm busy overclocking my 1070 FTW. I've seen people say that they got it stable at 2100Mhz, yet even at +125Mhz on the core, and 100% voltage, 112% (max) power limit, 91c Temp limit, I still get artifacts. Is it because the FTW is already OC more then the 1070 SC? Did I get a bad overclocker? Did I forgot to enable something? I'm using EVGA Precision X.

I sold my 390 Nitro for a GTX 1070. The performance is amazing and I'm very happy. The FTW allows for higher Overclocking. Should I overclock the card right away, or keep it default and do it in the future? I plan on keeping it for 2 years minimum. I'm also on 1440p. What kind of change can I put into the memory and core? I don't plan on changing voltages really. Oh, and my 1070 has Micron memory. Saw some people talking about it and thought mentioning would be smart.

Oh I guess I ment boost then. Basically: I won't OC it that much really. Never did it with my other cards.

Don't most 1070 hit 2000Mhz easy with the core boost?

I might OC it, but not in the way that I push it to the absolute max. Maybe get the core at 2000Mhz ?

Hey everyone, I sold my 390 Nitro because I want a GTX 1070. I've decided to go with EVGA because I really like the design of their card, which will fit nicely with my PC. I'm able to grab the GTX 1070 SC for €462,- and the the GTX 1070 FTW for €474,-. The reason for this thread is because I'm not really sure which model GTX 1070 to get. Yes it's only €12,- more, but I'm not a hardcore overclocker, nor will I notice the RGB lighting as my PC stands under my desk on the ground. The SC only has white LED's, which will fit with my case. My case consist of black and white. What would you guys recommend? Shave some money of and get the SC, or the FTW?

I'm using VirtualBox. Both are running trough.

Hey forum, I've been stuck for the past day. I have 2 servers, both running Server 2012. They had to be part of the same domain, which I did. I'm now at the part that server 2 needs to get AD DC like server 1 has. So I install it and then need to configure it. The issue I've been having is this: I googled around, but what I find I just don't understand. I'm pretty much still at the beginning stage. My school book didn't doesn't get this issue, so I can't use that. Can someone help me out?

We need to use Internet Explorer for school to upload files. This is due to the usage of Silverlight. When I clicked "upload" I got the file locator. I went to the destination in my DropBox. In it I renamed a .doc file. A message popped up saying yes and no. Sadly I can't remember what it said. So I clicked yes and since then I've been having weird issues. The only folder still visible are the ones from which the file originates. School > Files > .doc file. The .doc file isn't visible anymore. My DropBox also contains other folders. Every folder expect the School folder are gone. When I don't use the file locator for the upload, and go to This PC > Dropbox, then everything is visible and working. Even the file that I renamed trough the file locator is there. Copy/pasting the destination path in the file locator does work. I've tried reinstalling Dropbox, resetting IE, and putting my PC back in time. Nothing solved it. This is pretty annoying as I have to upload file documents trough IE daily. Does anyone have a idea what I might have done by clicking yes? I'm on the latest Windows 10 build.

Tomorrow I'm going to continue my 6600k overclocking (Got it 2 days ago). When it's done I plan on moving to the 390 Nitro. What I'd like to know if it's dangerous to change the Core Voltage. I've seen people stating that putting it at +100 will literally kill the card, but it does allow higher overclocking. But is this true? Will I be doing it wrong by putting it maxed out with the power limit fully to the right? I plan on keeping the GPU for about 3 years, not more. I know that it might shave of the life of the GPU, but 3 years will work? Hopefully someone can clear it up for me, otherwise I'll keep it at stock core voltage.

I'm confussed. I didnt change the voltage in the BIOS. I only changed the core speed. I just opened CPU Z (forgot I had it installed). There is says: Core Voltage 1.392v, but with HWmonitor is says: VID 1.119v.

From the info I gave you so far, and if things keep working, did I get the lottery?

Right now it's been running for 1 hours and 15min. I'm leaving in the next hour for the movie.

Max was 74c. Average is around 60/63c.

It's at 1.120v 4,6Ghz.

I got my 6600k yesterday and I'm currently overclocking it. Right now it's at 4,6Ghz with stock voltage. I've been running Prime95 for more then 1 hour, and so far everything is working. My parents are home, but I'm going to a movie for about 3 hours. Will I be good keeping Prime95 running while I'm gone? Let's say the PC freezes while I'm gone. Will the freezing kill the CPU after being stuck at it for like 2 hours?
