  1. Greetings, I have been using a QuickFire TK with MX brown for the past couple of months, but considering selling it off to my friend and buying a new keyboard. I've narrowed down my decision between the following two: Corsair Gaming K70 LUX RGB with MX Brown. Ducky One RGB with MX Brown. I wanted to ask around what everyone would recommend. From this I will try making my final decision. It would be cool if people should vote so I can get a view https://www.strawpoll.me/15270561
  2. Do you mean with computer account .. Computer Configuration GPO? About the policy itself. Yes it's enforced.
  3. Yes the client PC is on the domain. I enabled Content Advisor in the GPO which enabled me to get the Content Advisor option in IE11's Internet Options.
  4. Greetings, I'm running into a issue that is regards to the Internet Explorer Content Advisor. For my project, which is due next Wednesday, I need to set up a Windows Server 2012 and a client Windows 8.1. Everything so far is working perfectly, but the problem that I can't solve, even through I followed my book perfectly, is that the Content Advisor isn't working properly. The websites that I put into the Content Advisor are to be blocked. When I visit those websites on my administrator account or the other user accounts, then I'm still able to visit the website. When I then go into Internet Options > Content Advisor and I input my administrator credentials, I am able to see the blocked websites that I have open. Is someone able to help me out with this. I have to use IEAK/Content Advisor for the project. Two of my classmates have done it and their websites get blocked. The confusing comes from the fact that I did the same thing as they did.
  5. Oh yes installing Windows isn't a issue, but I asked the online store I bought it from, and they messaged me if I where to return it, it would need to have the original software on it. But the original software right now is...gone and I'm kinda nervous that I killed my warranty.
  6. Greetings, Today my HP Pavilion 15-CK093ND arrived. I really like the laptop, but was annoyed at the amount of stuff coming pre installed. I used the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft to download the latest Windows 10 Home x64 build so I should have a fresh Windows for school. I went into the setup and removed the Windows partition. The only thing I didn't touch was the Windows RE Tools partition, RECOVERY and the DATA. I suggessfully installed it, but the problem I have right now is that I can't use recovery. I don't have a RECOVERY MANAGER option when I go into F11. I sadly didn't do a full back up to a usb or disk because people told me I would be fine as long as I kept the RE partition, RECOVERY intact. Am I looking something over, or have I ...messed up. Let's say I have indeed messed up, would buying the Recovery Kit for my laptop give me the ability to restory all the partition on the laptop, or is the Recovery kit only for drivers. Pretty bumped this happened because I really like the laptop. Hope the forum can help me.
  7. Hey, So I went ahead and wanted to do a fresh install. I removed the partitions except the recovery and Windows RE tools partition. But I cant install windows, it says the partition is GPT. Plus when I want to use HP recovery it says there is no hard drive
  8. Did a quick look on the bottom. There is no Windows sticker.
  9. Hey all, I just got my new laptop after having used my MSI GP70 for 4 years. Unsurprisingly it comes with pre installed software which I want to get rid off. Would I be fine with doing a fresh install? Won't I lose the Windows license by doing that. Also, I want to keep the HP recovery partition, so when I ever give the laptop away, I can simply do the HP recovery to bring it back to factory settings. Hope someone can assist me :). Edit: It comes with Windows 10 Home, and it's a HP Pavilion 15. Link: https://www.laptopshop.nl/product/794496/hp-pavilion-15-ck093nd.html
  10. I did look around some other options, but I sadly cant find anything that is better then the two picks I have right now.
  11. Hey all, For the past 4 years I've been using a MSI Gaming Series GP70-2OD-043NL. I've been considering upgrading my laptop for something new and giving my MSI to my parents. I use my laptop a lot for school. From word editing to virtualization as I'm studying IT. I want to step away from a 17 inch to a 15 inch laptop, one that is a little big smaller so I can better carry it with me. So I did some looking around and I came up with the following two laptops. HP Pavilion 15-CK093ND url: https://www.laptopshop.nl/product/794496/hp-pavilion-15-ck093nd.html 15,6 inch 1080p IPS glossy screen Intel Core i5 8250U 8GB RAM 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD Nvidia Geforce MX150 ASUS VivoBook S15 S510UA-BQ514T url: https://www.coolblue.nl/product/796186/asus-vivobook-s15-s510ua-bq514t.html 15,6 inch 1080p IPS matte screen Intel Core i5 8250U 8GB RAM 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD Intel UHD Graphics 620 My personal opinion is that I like the HP more. The gold look of the ASUS doesn't really get me. The HP also offers a dedicated GPU, which the ASUS doesn't have. What I'd like to know is if HP is a good choice. I believe I heard some people from my class and online saying HP wasn't that great. I plan on keeping this new laptop for the coming years. I'd like to have it look professional and not the gaming look. I don't have the money for a €1000,- or more laptop. €799 is fine, €899 is already stretching it. And what about the ASUS? Maybe I'm overlooking a great laptop. Hope some can give their impressions of using them and thought on the one I linked in here.
  12. Yeah this is on a PC. 6600k, Krait Gaming 3x, 1080Ti etc. I didn't disable the card no. I was browsing and suddenly my internet was gone. By going to the network adapter I saw it was set to disabled. The problem wasn't my ethernet cable as it was plugged in correctly.
  13. I experience this exact same issue a couple days ago. Here is what happened just now. I was casually watching a YouTube video and browsing the web. Out of no where I notice my internet is gone. The icon in the tray on the right had a red marker. I go to the network adapters and notice my internet adapter is disabled. When I click to enable the NIC back on nothing happens. I decided to restart my computer, but in both cases my PC didn't reboot. It stayed stuck on a black screen after fading from the restart screen. I then had to power down my computer using the power button and start it up again. When I'm back in Windows everything is fine again. No errors popup, nothing. Even the internet is working again. I looked in the Event Viewer and the only thing that caught my eye where the following 3 things: Does someone know the cause and can help me solve the problem? I'm running Windows 10 Home x64 (Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299)
  14. I'm able to sell my GTX 1070 Strix OC for about €450,- A GTX 1080 FTW 2 goes for about €650,- to €700,- Would this be worth the money? I'm using a 1440p 144hz monitor. Just wondering because upgrading to a GTX 1080Ti is a shit ton of money, while the GTX 1080 is cheaper to do.
