  1. System specs: Ryzen 1600 ASRock B350M Pro4 EVGA 550 G3 ASUS RX580 8GB Windows 10 64bit Bios is the most recent update I just bought an ML140 Corsair fan to add to the 3 ML120 that I already have in my case. However when I went to turn on the RGB in Corsair Link the Lighting Node Pro was not visible and there were no devices detected. So I am currently stuck with the configuration that I had in place before I got my ML140, which means that my 3 ML120s are happily colourful but my ML140 is un-illuminated. Things I have tried: - uninstall and reinstall Corsair Link - unplug and replug everything - made sure that the RGB on the new ML140 were functional - hard reset of the Lighting Node Pro itself - unplug various combinations of things, restarting my computer and plugging them in while the computer is on Any suggestions would be great.
  2. So I got it to memory express, which I think is what microcentre is in the states, and they assured me that there was nothing wrong with any of my components. They showed it to me while it was working and after being very confused at what they did differently than me before I noticed that they were using DVI to connect their screen to my GPU. I asked them to see if it would run with HDMI which is what I had been using at home and low and behold it would not output to a screen through HDMI. We further tested and it didn’t work for display port either. At this point I should mention that my monitor only supports HDMI, display port and VGA for some reason - it does not have a DVI port. Then we checked to see what would happen to the screen if we put a drive with an OS on it (since my m.2 was empty because I couldn’t install windows because I couldn’t get it to post) and ran it with one of the shop’s drives with an OS on it. To our surprise the screen started to register HDMI and display port plugged into my GPU after we got windows on the desktop. Consensus was that there was something wrong with the ports on my GPU and since it is basically brand new I should just exchange it with a twin and hope that the ports would work on that one and return my current one as faulty. Then after discovering that bitcoin miners had purchased all of the Asus Dual RX 580s once again I came up with a ghetto solution to get me a functional display so that I can download my OS and update all the drivers: getting a DVI to HDMI cable so that I can use my computer long enough to get an OS on it and download all the updates to see if that would fix the issue. So I went home with all my parts (nothing has been put into my case just because I had never moved past the first step of trying to get my system to post while on my mobo box) and then see myself up again on my mobo box and SUCCESS I got it to post and immediately downloaded my OS onto my m.2. But then we move on to my current issue: while finishing my installation of windows 10 it reminded me to attach it to a network so that it could go on the internet and update itself of somethjng. So I grab my very long CAT-5 Ethernet cable and plus it into the Ethernet jack my wifi router because that was what was closest to me and then plug the other end into my mobo. But despite all the lights flashing to say that something is happening my computer now declares that there is no internet connection. My system and build seem to be pretty much as good as they can be right now (I finally put everything into my case) but I can’t figure out what is going on with the internet. And i need the internet to download the drivers that I need to see if that makes the HDMI and display ports work. Any suggestions?
  3. I live in Canada so no micro centre here I think. But I am taking it to a store like what I think microcentre is to have them help me troubleshoot. Thank you for all your help!
  4. I tried with all the different combinations of switches on the back of my PSU and still nothing. Thanks for the idea though!
  5. All the lights and fans are working on the components I have attached to the mobo. Doesn’t that mean it should be working? I was personally thinking that my CPU is a more likely culprit...
  6. And I have now cleared the CMOS and still no dice. Do I have a dead component??
  7. Still won’t post!!! A brief summary of what I have tried: I have reseated all of the power cables on the mobo. I have reseated all of the power cables to my PSU. I have removed my CPU cooler and then reseated my CPU and reattached the cooler complete with fresh thermal paste. I have tried inserting a single stick of ram one at a time into all of my dimm slots. Then I tried this again with my other stick of ram in all of the different dimm slots. I have removed my GPU and tried all of the variations of ram all over again with my monitor plugged into the HDMI slot on my mobo. I double checked that my screen and HDMI cable were both functioning by plugging them into my blu-ray player. Everything worked great there. I have tried removing my m.2 SSD and attached my hard drive and tried that and still nothing. I haven’t cleared the CMOS yet because I am taking a break but that will be next. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
  8. I haven’t put it in the case yet, this is all still my test run outside of my case on top of my mobo box. So currently nothing extraneous is attached. And unfortunately no, I only have one PSU.
  9. Alright now we are onto a brand new problem: it is endlessly cycling off and on after I pressed the power button. It’s been going on for almost 2 hours now and I’m getting tired...
  10. Sorry new to computers and English is my second language: what does CMOS mean?
  11. Sorry I understand English as a second language, does memory module mean a stick of ram?
  12. So let it run for like a minute and then turn off before turning it on again and repeat this process 5 times?
