  1. It's actually rather heart warming to see a developer so passionate about PC gaming and pushing boundaries.
  2. Tbh this seems like the sort of thing Google Now would be good at: answering questions, while Siri seems to focus on actual commands for your phone/tablet
  3. Yeah I personally know a few bi sexual and gay people in London and most of then are treated just like normal people. The others bring up their sexuality in social contexts and they generally become a little more popular in college and so on.
  4. Such insightful questions /s Although for the second one I'd argue idiocy has always been a thing. Facebook just gave it a delightfully new way to manifest itself.
  5. It's a confused issue. Gamergaters say they want more transparency in journalism, and that the issue Zoe Quinn had kinda started all of this.Zoe Quinn got death threats then feminists got involved who say gamergate is just an excuse for white introverted nerds to practice misogyny. The media has since provided one sided coverage trying to prove that point.
  6. You may want to look into the situation a bit more if you think gamergate is to blame for all of this.
  7. That popped up on reddit a while ago. Reading it made me feel sick actually; just how one sided the coverage actually is, even from something as reputable as the BBC.(Yes I get that it's an interview but there should be more articles written to highlight the other side of the story. I feel like the real issue is that the anti gamergate movement has a face; Zoe and Anita, while gamergate itself doesn't).
  8. Need more information regarding the actual context for the survey. Title seems a bit misleading / sensationalised BTW.
  9. Yeah you are definitely in the minority here. Most people have wired headphones.
  10. Also while that is technically the latest footage of project ara it was made available quite a while ago
  11. But will it bend? I like having thin devices, but for me ~8mm is more than thin enough as long as it is ergonomicky designed... Although the iPhone 4 was thicker and still managed to be comfortable with a rather sharp design.
  12. Hasn't FTC tried suing the ISPs in the past? Haven't they repeatedly been told that they need to reclassify them?
  13. He could mean in terms of a compromise. They would have to degrade the visuals a fair amount to try getting it to run at 1080P-60fps, so they may have seen 30fps as the better compromise and improved other aspects.I still agree that it may just, as others have said, be BS after the fact.
  14. Nice review. iOS7 / 8 has really made me finally consider an iOS device over an Android one, but I really don't like the build of the 6. I could go with a 5S but ehh... screen size is a little too small.
  15. From what you've posted it sounds as though they're planning to do this, not that they've actually done it...?
  16. I agree. I might be new and haven't seen the forum in its better days, but I still don't mind reading it. I'd rather have lots of articles / posts to choose from instead of just a few that could miss some news that some users might not consider strictly tech news.If anything I find the whining more annoying than the odd bad post here or there.
  17. Sithu Aye Recombination off of their Invent the universe album. It has a very jazzy element despite being metal that I can't get enough of. Full album: Sithu Aye - Invent The Universe - (Full Album): Music is free from band camp, but I'd recommend paying something at least Also, Animals as Leaders, mind spun is awesome.
  18. A movement calling for change regarding journalistic ethics in games media. Issues were mainly brought to light after the whole Zoe Quinn nonsense, and things have steadily gone downhill since then. Most of the gaming media then labeled gamergate as misogynistic white men living in basements. A lot of SJWs and "feminists" did likewise. There have been threats and so on from both sides but coverage of the whole thing is largely one-sided.
  19. http://blueplz.blogspot.dk/2014/10/whose-side-am-i-on.html I found this to be a rather interesting piece by TB, and think he has hit the nail on the head. Very nice read.
  20. tapatalk works well enough for phones, have you tried that?
  21. The average Joe will likely never do anything more complex than basic fractions, percentages, and arithmetic. Having said that, maths has a huge range of applications in so many professional fields you simply cannot just brush it off. Even if you're not going to go into one of those roles, it's necessary because it teaches analytical and logical thinking with some rather abstract concepts. It also gives people who may want to go into those roles some exposure to the subject.
  22. iirc halo reach was running at just below 720P at 30fps. And the game didn't look that great either in terms of lighting / models, so I assume the resolution cutting got even worse in the later games. The APUs look good for light gaming. They aren't good value though, seeing as you can get significantly better performance if you spend just a little more money. Having said that, they don't seem too bad when considering dual graphics solutions. You can get something to game a little on, then when the upgrade comes you can game way better.
  23. I don't understand. Usually there is a an underlying selfish reason why a company may do something, but this just seems outright silly. What on earth do they have to gain from this?
