Looks like an AOC judging from the OSD... but the only time i saw one this bad was when my old boss bought an HD+ widescreen 20" or so ... for about 1/3 of what a 22-24" FullHD used to cost back 5-6 years ago ... You can coax some better images out of it if you manually adjust the colors on it . Factory settings always seem to be off for me.

My phone has the option to zoom in, my TV does not. 16:9 was better.

Also phone screen ratios are still changing, I think Samsung is going to 19.5:9 or something like that with the next models with the new Infinity O displays. 18:9 is not a standard. 16:9 is.

The first monitor I ever bought was 16:10. I had no idea it was 16:10 until I arrived at my house. Was a great monitor and I actually really liked the aspect ratio. It's unfortunate that there aren't many monitors with that ratio being sold.

For people saying he made this video to please the fanboys, do realize that gamer oriented tech channels such as LTT have fanbases that boiled down, are toxic anti-Apple circle jerks

I use an iPhone 7 and my Snapchats and Instagram Lives look so much better than my Brother's Note 9, I can take a picture of a problem set and airdrop it right to my Macbook. I can screen record without it looking like a VHS home video. I can tell the rest of my family through an iMessage group chat during a Cross Country tempo run that I'm going to be late for dinner, on my watch, and I'm making Thanksgiving cards for friends using family photos off of a single iCloud family backup.

At the end of the day, these are the things that matter to me.

I don't pixel peep, I don't envy the Snapdragon 845 for being a couple milliseconds faster, I don't desire that extra 3 gigs of ram for when I have a million apps open and need to get back to one and can't wait 3 seconds, I don't want five hours of screen on time because I have a life. I don't want a new launcher or a new skin because mine was designed to appeal to nearly every user.

I want to play iMessage pool with my girlfriend and I want to run squads on Fortnite when we have a sub.

Yesterday we had a group project for AP Modern World and nearly 90% of the class was on ONE facetime call for around 20 minutes. It was a riot.

I used to love this community. I was on that grind at whole foods to save up for that GTX 1070ti. You guys taught me how to choose the right MOBO and where each PCI header went.

Its gotten toxic, it really has. The difference between phones in terms of speed is down to fractions of a second. Speedtests are breeding grounds for hate, and you honestly need to ask yourself if you're just an enthusiast, or encroaching on elitist because you know more than the average consumer. Sounds a little paternalistic to me...

I know the specs. I know I'm being scammed, I know that I'm a sheep for not choosing the better option, I know that Apple is literally Nazi Germany and their existence is a plague to society

Yet somehow I'm not too bothered by it.

    Phew.

Essentially what it boils down to is this. Android often has the newest features, but apple polishes the hell out of everything before they release it, so the iPhone is nicer to use. Better, faster UI and better integration with their computers.

TB4211 reacted to Devin92 in Why did you buy an iPhone?
One reason to prefer iphone other than Linus has already point out: whatever iphone have, its generally the top 2 in the industry. Good display, good speaker, best chipset, good camera, good app optimization.
ofc it has fked up moments such as the 'you are holding it wrong', but generally speaking, if an average person buys a iphone, he/she wont go wrong about it and seriously regret the purchase. However it might be the case if you choose a android device. like even some pixel device is fked up reading the comment from other ppl on this thread. but this probly wont happen on a iphone.

On my second iPhone now, 5s -> 7 Plus.
The main reasons I use this phone are:
The large screen - better battery life Dual Cameras  W1 chip Water Resistance Stereo Speakers Cheap price on my network: £30 per month My reasons for using iOS are:

Year after year consistent software support - helps keep my phone feeling new meaning I won’t feel the need to get a new one I can trust Apple with my data - I’d rather not run the risk of having my data sold to some third party company by Google or Facebook (Facebook selling data didn’t affect iPhone users) Seamless backup and restore - when I got my phone replaced at the Apple Store I set up my new one with my iCloud and everything was there straight away No questions asked in warranty repair at Apple stores - After having the repair to my first iPhone 7 Plus making the phone worse, they decided to replace it with no hesitation The ecosystem works well with iPads, Macs and my Apple Watch - It is very simple to start growing a webpage on an iPhone and just pick it straight up on a Mac  iMessage The ease of use of iOS How well iOS works with older phones (makes the iPhone 5S still very functional in 2018) AirDrop (seamless file sharing between devices and friends)  Better and quicker app support Much less chance of viruses infecting the phone Find my iPhone Performance - even last years iPhone isn’t being beaten by the latest Android chips  Little things like: tap to top, the vibrations when scrolling through menus, the good quality of the built in apps.  I think think that is all for now but iOS really isn’t as bad as Android fanboys make it out to be.

    TB4211 got a reaction from Tarun10 in Note 9 vs. OnePlus 6T?
Oneplus phones don't have crappy cameras the cameras are better than what the price point suggests. The reason you would think they have bad cameras is that most of the time they are being compared to much more expensive flagships like the Pixels and the iPhones

If you want a clean software experience with a good camera I have to recommend the Oneplus 6T when it comes out. I also heavily suggest that you don't buy anything made by Huawei because their phones have one of the heaviest Android skins you will find.

I'm going to be building a PC very soon to be doing some light gaming such as CSGO and Fortnite, i'm just here wondering if there is any potential improvements I could make to the system with a budget of around £500-550. If possible I'd also like ways to save money where possible but also ways to improve it(they don't have to fit into both categories).
