keskparane got a reaction from terriachick in motherboard issue?
Have you double checked all power supply cables are connected? In particular the CPU power connector.

It's been proven time and time again that consumers don't care, even when caring is in their best interest. Your average consumer is uninformed about market conditions and neither knows nor cares enough to see the long term negative effects of their purchase. That's literally the whole reason why consumer protection laws exist in the first place. The "vote with your wallet" idea is fine in theory but completely broken in practice.

keskparane got a reaction from IncrediblePony in JS Goupby-like algorithm for Object arrays
iterate through the first array and save the elapsed time sums to a new object with their id
iterate through the second array and save the project ids to a new object with the corresponding elapsed time
you now have an object that can access elapsed times by project id

keskparane got a reaction from Mikensan in Hyper-V vs VMWare for virtualization software?
Hyper-V kept NIC management is a mare IMO. It would randomly create new virtual NICs leaving the old ones unused on my system. I went for VMPlayer

Looks good. I normally don't go for clear sides and LED's but yours is nicely understated.

Basic rule with LED is they need a resistor. Here's a calculator, there are plenty with a web search.

IMO buying a non K CPU means less chance of damage. Same goes for all parts that aren't made for overclocking.

keskparane reacted to Alex Atkin UK in IP Conflict with multiple PC
I don't understand why you are doing this, Synergy should work just fine with normal IP addresses, they just possibly need to be static DHCP addresses so they do not change between boots.

keskparane got a reaction from TechyBen in should subwoofer be placed in table or below the table and why?
I think it should be on the floor. You're not worried about direction with bass. If it gets thumping it's less likely to disrupt items on your desk. Also depending on how you like your bass to sound you might want to roll up an old tshirt or similar and jam it in the breather port.

Well if you're ever in Australia use Aldi prepaid.

keskparane reacted to Thias.TG in Need help with DNS-Entry
An A-Record should do the job. It will forward every port to the IP and the server already handles what programs respond to what ports.
Otherwise look into SRV Records.
Edit:
A good practice when using an A-Record is to lock down the ports on an application base
