  1. i have an ssd as my C:\ drive also, im planning to get an RTX series gpu (one of the ones that actually do raytracing), would i need 16gb for games that actually take advantage of that?
  2. i have ~$100 to buy either a RAM kit (2x 8GB, an upgrade from my 2x 4GB) or some games, since I have almost nothing in my library. Do I really need an upgrade to 16 gigs or am I still fine with my 8 gigs?
  3. don't have wired internet available right now; need to install wireless internet drivers for my Linux Mint install need drivers that will work with this card: https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-RNX-AC1900PCE-802-11AC-Express-Wireless/dp/B0159222VS/
  4. persistent mode hates me. I tried making a persistent Linux Mint USB a few months ago but whenever I booted off of it, it displayed the loading screen for around 5 seconds and then crashed to a terminal, saying something about not being able to load something (i can't really remember). I tried it again today and the same thing happened. does anyone know how to fix it? it's Linux Mint 19.1 (AMD-x64), burned using multibootusb, with 4GB persistence.
  5. looking for a pair surround sound headphones for under $100, any suggestions?
  6. I'm going to get a 500gb M.2 drive because I literally only have 3gb on my 1tb HDD, but what do i do with the M.2? should I have Win10 and music, documents and all that on the M.2 and leave steam on my HDD or vice versa?
  7. on a scale of 1 to 10, how good is Ryzen 7 1700 for: older games like Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2 and Garry's Mod? a super-intensive game/simulator? running VR? Running multiple intensive programs at once? and how much power would it take at 80-100%?
  8. I don't really wanna get professional stress testing software (at least, not right now) so what is the best free software for basic CPU/GPU tests?
  9. since id rather not have to burn $105 for a new CPU if I bork it, whats the best increment to boost by so that if it becomes unstable I can just step it down and not worry about breaking it? also, is there a way to boost/drop fan speed on the case and CPU fans without having to screw around with advanced settings?
