Pretty solid score I think. Got pretty lucky with my chip, 5.0 Ghz all cores at 1.290 Vcore. I added a snippet from HWInfo as CPU-Z is not a reliable source for voltage readings. The best reading is VR VOUT from HWInfo. This is on a custom water loop with 360 rad and 240 rad. Specs below:

    i9-9900k
    16Gb 3466 Ram
    Z390 Aorus Master
    RTX 2080

    Afternoon All,

There's not a lot of information out there about the ever elusive $1099 2080ti from Evga. This is a non-binned chip, tu102-300-k3-a1. I just installed this into my loop with an EK Vector water block. My loop consists of 1x 280 double rad, 1x slim 360 rad, d5 pump, 250 ml res, and an evo supremacy water block for the CPU. CPU is an i9-9900k OC'd to 5.0 Ghz all cores at 1.295 VCore.

    OC Results:

    +1500 on memory
    +175 Mhz on Core Clock

Final Results - 2,115 Mhz Core - 8000 Mhz on memory - this is a great OC from a non-binned chip in my opinion.

    Benchmark results.

    Fire Strike - 29,799
    TimeSpy - 14,827
    SuperPosition 4k optomized - 13,082

Temps are amazing - idle the 2080ti is around 24c and under full load, during heavy benchmarks, it stalls out at 36c

Overall I am really impressed with the card and at this price point, it cannot be beaten. Now, if you were to only use this card with the stock fans that may be a different outcome as far as overclocking and what not.

Just wanted to let the board know that the EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti BLACK EDITION GAMING is now in stock on EVGA's website. I scooped one up today. It's currently 1099 with free shipping. They usually sell out in less than 12 hours just a heads up.

My 2080ti will do 2160Mhz on the core and 8300Mhz on the memory in Port Royal.  The highest I have run it on Time Spy is 2145/8000.  Superposition it ran 2160/8250.  It runs 2100/8000 stable all day.  Max temps in the low 40s usually....have seen it 46ish in some games.

i played through call of duty WWII last month and it used over 10GB consistently at 1440p...but maybe it wasn't ''needed''

But anyways, if you overclock your 1080ti you'll get better performance than an overclocked 2080...personally i wouldn't trade my card for a 2080 as i know it performs better in benchmarks and in games at the overclock that i'm running it because i tested it against reviews when the 2080 came out and i'm faster across the board...and it has more memory.

Remember that the 1080ti has more Vram in the case of high res gaming.

Yeah, I suppose that's fair...the card is only up in price due to the stopped production, not its actual value.  Welp. Either way it doesn't sound like you can go wrong. The cards will perform nearly identical. I suppose the difference is you'd have a newer card and maybe bragging rights as to owning a 20 series, maybe fiddle with some RT when it becomes available.

Current benchmarks on average have the 1080ti performing slightly better than the 2080 overall, but it's literally nothing you would notice if you didn't benchmark it.

this MC does offer a BYO discount which means they will discount any PC parts marked BYO down to MSRP. So people can still build and get a 1080ti at MSRP.

I was told by a friend that works at my local Micro Center that their GPU stock will be restocked, tomorrow, 1/17.He said this includes, 1070, 1070ti, 10800 and 1080tis. I wonder if i should buy several and hold on to them and then sell them to friends or family wanting to build.

Agreed.  If you have the money, buy what what makes you happy.  Spare us the sermon on what whether we need it or not.

This debate can be had about any purchase we make.  I always find it laughable when someone says, "why do you need to spend so much on a PC", but then you find out they blow money on other recreational bullshit, hobby, or passion.

Do I NEED all of the space in our house?  Fuck no, but my wife and kids sure do love it.  Good enough for me.  Nobody's stopped by my house or sent me an email/text asking me why I needed to buy it.

Bottom line is we all have areas we are frugal with and others where we splurge.  Who cares?

Why does it bother you what other people spend their hard earned money on? Me buying a 1080Ti to play PUBG and other AAA titles on is not a sign of addiction. I work hard for my money and enjoy spending it on things that bring ME enjoyment. Do I NEED a 1080ti to play the titles? No? But i can afford one and wanted one so i bought it. If everyone went through life only buying the things they need life would be pretty boring!

Bios updates and patches are already out for a good portion of people. I have the newest Microsoft patch as well as the newest bios version for my MB just released last night. In the realeass notes, it clearly states Micro code update. I saw no performance decrease in what I do daily.
