I have never lost money doing this. If you start by spending a ton of money then yeah you can fail... but if you start little and work your way up your only out a little if you decide you don't like doing it... I didn't start to make money i started because it was fun. People liked my work and I allow anyone to ask for any thing. my customers and I work together to make what they want and that make for some very interesting work. I am not saying that its easy or you will get rich in a day. Just that people should do what they love and work hard to make what they love happen

I started on Etsy. Gained some skills and eventually started posting on Facebook and Instagram. Then my wife made my website and started selling all through that. But really it's about practice not exposure. Good quality gets it's own exposure

Don't get me wrong. I know this isn't a knife it's a straight razor. Making straight razors has been my full time job now for almost 4 years. I started with a 30 dollar cheap grinder and have worked my way up to all the great tools I could ever want. I hope you guys have something you love to do and seek it out even if you don't think you have what you need to make it happen... Keep doing what you love and eventually the things you need will come. Jacob
