I recently purchased 2 intel xeon e5-2650 v3's for a workstation build, and I want to know if there is a delidding tool for haswell EP CPU's if there is send me a link to where I can buy one (preferably on amazon or newegg), thanks
 
EDIT: Topic closed; I found out that lga 2011-3 is the same size as lga 2066 so a delid die mate 2 is the best solution

Performance improvements depend on your graphics card and resolution you are playing. Basically, if your are GPU bound now, then the performance improvements will be negligible. If you are CPU bound in your games, then you can see a more noticeable fps bump. 

Even then Thx for thinking abt time sensitivity, even though it is a home installation.

A pad upgrade is a good idea since they're a bit tight and it can be uncomfortable but up to you.

I think there could be several factors, your fans could have died, your pump could have died, you might have used too little thermal compound, you might have accidentally left the protective film on the block on, if anything inspect your cooler for dysfunctional components.

Coffee Lake (8th gen) intel CPUs despite using the lga 1151 socket are only compatible with coffee lake chipsets such as H310, B360, H370, and Z370, So in a nutshell your mobo is not compatible
